I dunno if you guys caught this but there is now an argument floating around that Trump is not eligible for the nomination even if he gets to 1237 1300 or any other number
Basically the rule 40 thing says you have to get the support of a majority of the delegates of 8 states and it seems like the procedure for that is thru a signed document. The argument is that since Cruz has been working to get his people elected as "trump delegates" in the states that Trump won then they would be loyal to Cruz and not have to sign the document. Leaving a situation where Cruz is the only candidate people can vote for in the convention.
