Not all Republicans are spineless weasels like Ted Cruz. They may maintain their silence in the face of an Enfant Terrible, but at some point the situation with Trump will reach critical mass and Congress will take action.

True. If the body count goes over 200,000, which it looks like it will barring a cure or vaccine, Trump's reelection chances will sink even further. Trump can tell everyone "Believe me, not your lying eyes" all he wants, but if his fans stay home, vote Third Party or even for Biden (let's not forget how many former Democrats voted for Trump over Hillary), it could turn into a landslide for Biden.

I sincerely believe most people are motivated out of self-interest. The key is to make sure their interests and ours are the same. :)

A nutjob in the WH hurts the nation and hurts the reputations of every Republican Senator and Representative. Trump obviously hasn't "learned his lesson". If he wins reelection there should be no doubt he'll go even further with his nutty actions. Something will be done. It's a matter of timing and circumstances. I think Pelosi recognized this long before all the newbie Democrats in the House who pushed for impeachment.

I don't know, but a 200,000+ body count on Election Day doesn't help Trump. Most people could vote Biden. I'll vote Third Party if it's Trump v. Biden. I'd vote Pence if Trump is out before the election.

The (D)s hands are tied though w/o the (R)s in the Senate. I just don't think that enough of them have the cojones to do anything about the Tangerine Toddler before he finishes destroying all the institutions we used to hold dear.

Agreed, which is why Pelosi was against impeachment. She knew how it would turn out, but when enough "woke" newbie Democrats threatened her Speaker position, she relented. I don't agree with her politics, but I never thought she was stupid.

After the election, when Trump is both a lame duck President and when he goes even further into his eccentricities, that's when the situation will reach critical mass and Trump will be in Nixon's position: Resign with honor or face impeachment, conviction and eviction for office.
