Trump has almost no campaign money

He's not running neck and neck. Where is he going to get money to run ads in the fall?

You can run a national campaign by showing up O'Reilly and Hannity every night and that's it

Worry about that in the fall.
He ran in every state already and on a shoestring.
Just because pols like to piss away money doesn't mean it's needed. Everyone out spent him many times over and lost.
He understands overexposed. P l aying the same ad 20 times an hour doesn't make it 20 times as effective.

He got away with it during the primary because much of the Republican base who votes in primary's watches Fox News. He even admitted it costs $1 billion to run a national Presidential campaign. Where is he going to get that money from? His campaign is in shambles right now and he just fired his campaign manager. And we're not even talking the big picture of trying to maintain control in Congress. That costs money and he's doing nothing to contribute their either.

This has nothing to do with overexposure. The whole point of a Presidential campaign is to define your opponent before they can define you. Right now Hillary is out their crushing Trump while Trump is spending time fighting a Mexican judge for a trial from his personal business. His campaign is truly a laughingstock.

If he can rally establishment money he can overcome Hillary. Interesting no one is talking about his receipt of record breaking votes (14+ million) in the primary. Those numbers speak to possibilities.

Hide and watch, I think you are going to see record breaking votes, but it isn't going to be for Trump. I think there will be a lot of Republicans that will pull the lever for Hillary.

Now he is going to Scotland, I think at times his only mission was to bring the Republicans to their knees. It sure seems like it these last few weeks.

You are as stupid as the guy he just fired. Let us repeat for you, the primaries are not the same as the general, it is a whole new ballgame and Trump is still sitting on the bench without enough people to make a team. He plans to rely on the down ticket Republicans to piggy his campaign on. There are some of the them that don't want any association with him. He's in trouble, on the Apprentice, he would fire himself.

no way he's gonna be competitive with the Clinton machine on spending -but he's got to spend nonetheless.

He could get that convention bump and get Big Donors - but Big Donors would sit out
or even go with Clinton for influence.

He needs to do a 18on everything he's been doing, and I don't think he's capable of changing course that much

He's anti-establishment and supposedly self funding so does he even want the establishment behind him? The nominee is the major fund raiser for the party and Trump hasn't done sh*t. Again, this goes beyond just the Presidential race.

And there are multiple states with both a Dem and a Repub Senator so I don't know that everyone is voting straight party line.

I am talking about during Presidential elections. The facts are people vote straight party ticket.

If you want to wring your hands over Trump so be it. I personally would love to see the GOP as it is currently constructed decimated. If Trump brings that about them so be it.

But don't buy the hype that Crooked Hillary is cruising. She isn't. That is what the lefties want you to believe to demoralize you. It is their MO

just like them saying "so and so is a republican I could vote for"

If republicans continue to fall for leftist propaganda, then they deserve to lose

I don't care that's he's going to Scotland. Presidential candidates have travelled in the past. Maybe it will prevent him from saying something stupid.

This isn't personal at you but I don't care what liberals think of Trump. They weren't going to like any Republican candidate. That's just the nature of the beast. I'm speaking to those who I generally agree with politically and support Trump.

I guess I'm not following your comment about Presidential elections then and straight party ticket voting. Do you mean in mid term years people will vote for say a Senator opposite the party they voted for President two years prior?

What would you like to see the Republican Party reconstructed as?

There is no way Hillary Clinton should be leading this Presidential election right now. None. The fact that she is and Trump's campaign is in shambles speaks to how bad Trump is.

He is going to Scotland at a time when his campaign is in dire need of management, it is a terrible time to take off, to me it is just another bad management decision.

I have voted for Republicans in the past, Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Gov. Bill Walker who is a conservative who decided he loved his state more than his party, so cawacko it is exactly people like me who will make a difference in this election, but you go ahead and talk to the sloped fore headed people who are still going to vote Trump because they are just stupid, you will not change these people's vote because they don't have any intellect with which to reason.

I'm under no impression any of us are changing our minds on this board about what we believe and who we support. My intent in starting this thread was understanding/discussing the Trump support from a Republican/right-wing perspective given current conditions within the campaign.

People can generally share the same beliefs yet still have disagreements and have discussions over those disagreements.

I think you need to do that in a private place. They won't speak freely here. (the ones capable of speech). There are libs around. Some of them are girls. Do you have any republican friends? If so what are they saying?

Has he done anything the conventional way ? No.
Yet he cleaned the clocks of 15 contenders in record breaking fashion.
Surely this should give you pause before talking in conventional terms.
Part of the dem failures the last 8 years are BO sucking up money leaving conventional congress critters fighting for scraps and losing. Gop critters can't complain about that.
So far, thinking outside the box has worked well for the Donald and firmly inside the box hrc has struggled to beat an old commie.

I have faith that the majority of Americans can't be this stupid to elect Donald Trump, but time will tell, because I also thought the Republicans weren't stupid enough to do it, but they did!
