Agreed Fox needs to separate themselves from Trump...if for no other reason than the court cases they are facing.
Fox rode the wave, they didn't invent it. Fox exploited the hate, bigotry and fearmongering Trump was exploiting. Even then, this has been a few decades in the making. Rush Limbaugh didn't invent bigotry and hate of government, but he profited off of it. People were free to listen or not. Same with Fox News.
If Fox doesn't want to end up being owned by someone else, they need to unfuck themselves and distance themselves from traitors, pedophiles and other anti-Americans.

"Opinion" is part of the First Amendment. The only time they can be held accountable is things like the Dominion defamation lawsuit. The irony? Fox's own investors are planning to sue the Murdochs and have them pay for the lawsuits out of their own pocket.
While I agree, an argument can be made that, by focusing on guns instead of mental illness, the Democrats are doing the same.
I can't help wondering why Trump did it. His first prime time post-indictment interview, and knowing the key question would be how come all those boxes of unreturned government documents. He had plenty of pre-interview time to consider his answer, and he settled not on his standard but legally problematic, "they are my documents", but on golf shirts. Technically, he settled on "personal belongings" mixed in with government property he hadn't had time to separate out but he picked golf shirts to represent that answer. Surprising answer, easy to mock. He knew it would be.

Like most Americans, I don't want to get shot. The odds are I won't unless I live in a black neighborhood or am an elderly white guy who shoots himself. That's just the stats.

The "odds and the stats" aren't the issue. Someone's kid is going to get shot in his or her classroom some day soon and he or she will be just one of many someones' kids who didn't beat the odds and the stats. Enacting federal legislation to help prevent that from happening, as some of the state are doing, should be one of those priorities.
