Brett Baier interviewed the ex-President on tonight’s Special Report. I had to leave about 20 minutes in but recorded the show for later viewing. The Hill has two articles about the interview. This is the latest one:

Trump, Fox’s Bret Baier spar over former president’s 2020 election claims
Former President Trump and Fox News anchor Bret Baier argued over Trump’s false claims of a rigged election in 2020 during a contentious interview that aired Monday on the network.
“First of all, I won in 2020 by a lot,” Trump said when Baier asked him how he plans to appeal to independent voters in 2024.

“You know that’s not what … ” Baier interjected as Trump talked over him.
The former president floated unfounded theories about ballot harvesting and voter fraud, to which Baier pushed back, saying, “Mr. President that’s all been looked into.”
“You lost the 2020 election,” Baier told Trump, noting the numerous recounts and lawsuits that followed Trump’s refusal to admit defeat in the weeks after the election...

The second article of Baier confronting Trump’s claims:

Trump defends keeping classified docs in contentious exchange with Fox’s Baier
Former President Donald Trump on Monday defended his retention of classified materials after leaving the White House, telling Fox News he did not have time to go through the boxes filled with the documents.
“Why not just hand them over then?” Fox anchor Bret Baier asked in Trump’s first interview since being arraigned last week on federal charges.

“Because I had boxes. I want to go through the boxes and get all my personal things out,” Trump responded. “I don’t want to hand that over to [the National Archives] yet. And I was very busy, as you’ve sort of seen.”
Baier noted that the Justice Department’s indictment laid out how Trump allegedly told an aide to move the boxes containing classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate while also telling his lawyers to indicate he was cooperating….

The Rolling Stone had an opinion on the interview. LOL

Although I only saw part of the interview, what I did see struck me as proving the comment that Trump’s mouth is is biggest enemy. Everything he said can be used in court. He truly is a fucking moron.

Trump All But Confesses to Mishandling Classified Docs on Fox News
The former president, facing charges of mishandling classified information, nearly confessed to the crime — while blaming his “golf shirts”

I think that most of us have moved on from the claims of fake election and are looking forward to the next bunch of nonsense.

He just needs to keep confessing.

The ex-Prez seems to be following the Nazi philosophy of “the Big Lie”: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_lie
U.S. psychological profile of Hitler
The phrase "big lie" was used in a report prepared around 1943[17] by Walter C. Langer for the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile. The report was later published in book form as The Mind of Adolf Hitler in 1972. Langer stated of the dictator:

His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.

Give him a microphone and he will. Watching him attack everyone who doesn’t agree with him 100% is amazing. He called Bill Barr a coward several times. The fucking moron libeled Carroll the day after losing the libel suit to her. IIRC, she’s suing him again….and I expect he’ll lose.

Doesn’t matter

If Trump goes down we get Desantis so it’s a win/win
DeSantis is better than Pedo Don, the traitorous fucking moron. I’d love to see him go to prison but expect he’ll spend his remaining days in luxury wearing an ankle monitor at Mar-a-Lago.

Despite his rhetoric, I doubt DeSantis will fuck up as badly as Trump.

I enjoy more how Bill Barr just eviscerated Trump's Presidential Records act argument.

Bill points out how asinine Trump is and that the PRA says the exact opposite of what Trump is saying. It was created specifically to say that not everything is a PRA, and only specific things like personal diaries or memoires qualify as PRA. Thus why Clinton prevailed in the 'Socks' case as the tapes were his memoire recordings. And the PRA very specifically carves out another class of documents such as military and secret documents, that do not get giverened under the PRA.

Trump's schtick is so old at this point. It's predictable, and completely lame.

I'm convinced conservatives only support him at this point because they know it ticks off liberals. What true patriots - really putting country first there.

Anyone who allows trump free airtime is basically complicit in his attack on America.

CNN took a royal ass beating for doing so.

Before the event happens, the hosts know that trump will answer no questions, and simply filibuster with lies and fabrications.

But they still have him on, because it's good for ratings.

We expect it from Fox. Not necessarily Baier, though.

Any honest media source would only host trump if they have a mute button.

He learned this at the dinner table, and the self loathing Jew Stephen Miller employed same with trump's blessing.

It probably reminded trump of growing up with his Nazi father.

From what I read, the verdict is in. She was just allowed to amend the dollar amount to $10 million

You get Puddin Hands in the primary. The nation will get Biden again.

The overwhelming majority of the nation does not want another Nazi in the White House. Which is why dozens of Red states are suppressing voters.

They cannot win if people turn out to vote

That's the first thing they all say.

Hume and Baier were talking on Fox about the Trump interview. Hume, who has sucked up to Trump as well as anyone, was saying Trump made no sense. Trump has the right to stay silent, but not the ability. He confessed on TV for an hour.

I didn't see that part, but it's surprising that Hume criticizes Trump.

Agreed the interview was a confession. LOL

A perfectly prescient description of both #TRE45ON's M.O., and that of numerous MAGAT propagandists on this forum.
