Trump, like Biden before him, finds there’s no quick fix for inflation​

Trump sometimes sounds like Biden on inflation, insisting prices will soon drop while voters grow frustrated over his unfulfilled promises to lower living costs.

Trump’s tariffs and other policies are accelerating inflation, reversing the declining prices he inherited when taking office.

Like Biden, Trump is discovering that voter patience with inflation wears thin regardless of assurances about future economic gains.

Biden had things in place to slowly take inflation down. Trump has policies that will accelerate inflation. His tariffs were opposed by 95 percent of economists, pointing out how inflationary they are. Trump thinks he knows everything and he blustered ahead. He is actually quite uneducated.
Trump knows how lies and exaggerations will work on his followers. But reality is setting in. Even Trumpys are questioning what he is doing.
 
Getting inflation under control takes years of hard work. trump will not be investing years of hard work into controlling inflation.

Biden had already lowered inflation to the optimal 2% by the time he left office. What the MAGA morons don't understand is 1) that the US economy doesn't exist in a vacuum and 2) the global impact of the COVID pandemic on trade and the supply chain.

We now know those couple of years of good economic performance Trump had in his first term was a result of Obama handing him a good and growing economy. It went south because Trump totally mismanaged the pandemic.
 
The people who voted for Crazy Trump because of inflation are finding out that all they accomplished was to replace one pig with a worse other pig.
