This one happens to be an outlier. Which Grind USED to put stock in. He's a hack now, though.

my general attitude is paying attention to polls now and using that to project the results of an election still 3 years away is a fools errand. Obama was 39% in Mid 2011 and he still won his re-election.
Time changes. Circumstances change. 3 years is a long time in politics. As always, I opt for a "Wait and see" approach and pay little attention to the daily noise which can have a large degree of variance. Especially with fake news stories like the b.s. russia thing

You're argument would carry more weight under normal circumstances but Rasmussen turned out to be pretty accurate in the last election. Apparently, there's something in Rasmussen's methodology that works better under 'Trump circumstances' as it were.
It got buried by the daily JPP obstruction hyperventilating, but I had an OP the other day that correlated Trump's 50% Rasmussen numbers with the Russian Collusion Fail/Superfluous Prosecutor conglomeration.
My theory is voters are getting a whiff of a political witch hunt. If I'm right, it will be interesting to see how things play out down the road, politically.

We've heard much about outliers, anomalies, and lying to pollsters. Amazing anyone would still believe in their veracity. They're so easily fixed.

Nope, not at all. Job numbers are good, consumer confidence is good. The border is less porous than it has been in years. Illegal aliens with criminal records are being deported. Trump has undone many of the Obama era economy stifling regulations. I'm sure I've missed something.

Trump really is such a joke. I never anticipated that his voters would defend him like they do. I always saw it as an "anti-Hillary" vote - but people are invested now.
