Xenophobia would be banning 'those group X bastards because we don't like the looks of them'. Trump's policy is intended to protect US citizens from jihadists. Or radical Muslims if you prefer, but jihadists is the more accurate term.

That's not xenophobic---it's a president putting the safety of Americans ahead of everything else. We're just not used to seeing that and it's a shock to the system lol.

What it seems like is a set up for the media. The herd went chasing after Trump's 'anti-Muslim' EO before they took time to do their homework. Once they got sucked in all the way, Trump says 'oh, by the way, this is more or less the same policy Obama instituted'.

Now they are flipping somersaults trying to make it an apples and oranges thing but it comes off looking pretty weak since Obamas finger prints are all over Trump's policy.

I guess it's such a big deal they don't even remember when Obama did the same thing lol.
