oh there are lots as Bondi, while extreme, is generally trying to have some basis in law for actions, even if stretching them.

Trump has people now, who operate on the Trump principle that basis in law is irrelevant as he wants them investigated and charged to just force the cost and inconvenience of the legal process and if it gets laughed out of court after, oh well.

That is why Trump's choices for US Attorneys such as Jeanine Pirro are doing what was once thought as so near impossible even SC Justice Roberts made fun of the Grand Jury process repeating the joke 'the could indict a ham sandwich', as it is seen as so easy to indict due to the one sided presentation of the facts. But not for Magat's like Pirro or Ed Martin, the head of the DOJ's Weaponization Working Group, and Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency all of whom seem to not care if they get laughed out of court.

This, below, is what would happen to all of Trumps legal actions (civil or criminal) if the other party did not have exposure in other ways for Trump to leverage such as them needing FTC sign off for a giant merger or being a University or Law Firm that relies on gov't access or grants or clearances.

It is why when you look at Trump (and other GOP regimes they show tons of prosecutions and convictions) and yet despite Dems being investigated more by Special prosecutors and others, the Dem admins have almost no successful prosecutions on the merits of what was being investigated.
