Trump deliberately sows confusion about COVID

It's not a trick. Presidents get credit for the economy, good or bad. People vote their wallets.

I disagree w/ your premise anyway, but even if true, people don't care about nuances related to various localities or local leaders.

Your first statement is generally true.

The problem is that to call this an ordinary circumstance is a bit of an understatement. It wasn’t like the economy crashed due to some action by Trump or even Republicans in Congress.

It was crashed *willfully and purposefully* on the state and local level. And it’s still being held back in some areas by local governments—almost exclusively run by democrats.

I started a thread about the democrat mayor in Nashville withholding public information from the public; ostensibly, because the case data coming from bars and restaurants ‘was too low’.

This is not a good look, at all. And if Democrats are expecting the Trump Virus meme to carry Harris-Biden to the WH—they may be in for a rude awakening come November.

I posted in that thread. That story has been COMPLETELY debunked. Oh, well.

And your whole thing about locals crashing it "willfully and purposefully" is for the base crowd only.

You’re denying that the economy was shut down by the governors?

The WHOLE economy?

Some pockets were - but with Trump's support. Everyone knew the reasons for shutting down.

With Trump, he's on tape now - he downplayed this willfully to the public. That very likely increased the spread, and required more of an overreaction. His hands are all over this.

No wiggling out it.

Was the economy shut down by Trump or on the state and local levels?

So, governors shut down the economy?

Yes or no.

COVID shut down the economy, the Governors, least those concern with the people they serve, reacted accordingly, did you think the economy was going to hum along beautifully if COVID was allowed to spread unabatedly

What an absurd answer.

And thanks for admitting that *Trump’s economy* was humming right along until the governors shutdown their respective economies.

You and Bartender should get some kind of award for tap dancing.

So, the challenge for democrats is to gas light voters into thinking Trump crashed his own economy.

Good luck.

A new vaccine would normally take 10 years to develop and distribute, so it would normally be 2030. Many of these are more novel vaccines, so would take 20 years or more, so that would be 2040.

With a lot of work, there is a possibility, but not a likelihood, of early 2021. Late 2021 would be more realistic. October is a sick joke by a pathetic old orange man.

If it turns out to be the easiest of the vaccines to produce, then we could have 100 million doses by early 2021. The odds of the easiest vaccine working are very low.

There is a lot of evidence that the vaccine will not work well. So vaccinating those in greatest danger will not do much. You need to target the most likely to transmit the disease in order to try to stop the spread.

The two big underlying conditions would be not having access to universal healthcare, and being overweight. That describes Americans.

I suppose, as the President says, we'll see.

You think voters are quick to try to shift blame from the chief executive of the country?

No luck needed. Trump is on tape admitting he downplayed things. The cost of that was enormous.

We have seen, for a while now. Or at least those of us who were watching have been seeing. You really need to open your eyes, and see what trump has done to America.

Ignoring reality seems to be the hallmark of the Never Trumpers.
