Trump fired Comey from the FBI on Tuesday, an action that stunned both Republicans and Democrats, and caught agents at the bureau by surprise because the agency is deep into an investigation to find potentially improper links between Trump associates and Russian operatives.

The president's original dismissal letter to Comey indicated that he was being fired for his handling of the Clinton email probe. On the campaign trail, Trump often declared that Clinton should have been prosecuted — despite the FBI's findings that no charges were warranted.

Trump reiterated his displeasure with Comey on NBC News: "He had a lot of pressure put on and he exonerated her. Should have never exonerated her."

Wrong, there is absolutely no intent written into the law. That said Hillary clearly had intent in setting up this illegal server, and she then had the intent to delete at least 33,000 emails. But if you feel that intent is needed, she clearly had it.

This is over and done, Hillary is going to be prosecuted, along with Comey. Trump is taking his time with this and it is all going his way.

Let me refresh your memory, dudette.

"During Donald Trump's successful White House campaign, his massive crowds thundered: "Lock her up. Lock her up."

What he didn't say was that, as president, he would not have the authority to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton, much less jail her, as Trump threatened during a debate. That's the jurisdiction of the U.S. Justice Department, which is supposed to work outside the influence of politics.

Now that he's won the election, the president-elect is sending a signal both to Congress and, perhaps even his incoming attorney general, that it's no longer politically beneficial to try to prosecute the former Democratic presidential nominee.

In a Tuesday meeting with editors and reporters at the New York Times, Trump said he doesn’t “want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t. She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways.”

There IS NO INTENT required for violation of "gross negligence" section of the Espionage Act.

Dozens of legal experts addressed gross negligence, saying that application of the law to Clinton would have been an extremely creative reading of the intent AND interpretation of that law.

You have Hillary on the brain, and you know it. To read your willingness to believe anything negative about her, and then apologize for Trump all day - it's really something to behold.
