Trump celebrates Memorial Day by saying dead soldiers would have loved his presidency

Will you tell any Trump-haters making the claim that others served in Trump's stead that nobody was forced to go in Trump's place?

Taking it individually, then you justify nobody going to the service. it does not matter unless someone his to take your place. However in Trumps case, his cheating to get out of the draft did mean someone else had to go. Vietnam had a huge draft. Trump skipping out to play golf, made someone else fill his spot.

How did he cheat? Be specific

The idea that every 19 years old male was drafted, barring deferment, is wrong. Imagine how huge the military would have been if every 19 years old was drafted. The draft was done by lottery for a reason. Anyone unfit for service would be a detriment to the military.

Think so?

Did Blowjob Bill Clinton's evasion of the draft around the same time mean someone had to take his place?

The lottery wasn't reintroduced until Nixon instituted it in 1969.

Still, if every male who turned 19 was drafted, the military would have been even more massive than it already was. If we had a draft, these endless wars would come to a halt.

There has never been a point when "every male who turned 19 was drafted".

Conscription in the United States, commonly known as the draft, has been employed by the federal government of the United States in five conflicts: the American Revolution, the American Civil War, World War I, World War II, and the Cold War (including both the Korean War and the Vietnam War).

The third incarnation of the draft came into being in 1940 through the Selective Training and Service Act. It was the country's first peacetime draft. From 1940 until 1973, during both peacetime and periods of conflict, men were drafted to fill vacancies in the United States Armed Forces that could not be filled through voluntary means. The draft came to an end when the United States Armed Forces moved to an all-volunteer military force. However, the Selective Service System remains in place as a contingency plan; all male civilians between the ages of 18 and 25 are required to register so that a draft can be readily resumed if needed. United States Federal Law also provides for the compulsory conscription of men between the ages of 17 and 45 and certain women for militia service pursuant to Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution and 10 U.S. Code § 246.

I wasn't no senator's son, son, when I was drafted. The rich kids dodged the draft with college. Some guys dodged it by getting married. Only the poor proles got drafted. It was a very unfair system with a stacked deck. Grrrr!

Sure you did. More than once. Anyone that reads it can see that clearly. You may think it was a fine article. Anyone delusional would. What did you think about Trumps speech at Arlington today? All that actual honoring our fallen must really crawl up your ass.

You asked for an example...I gave it.

Now you are just diverting from the topic.

I don't blame you. Supporting a bucket of shit like Donald Trump must be an arduous task...especially for someone like you with your limited skills.

Donald Trump actually attempted to honor himself at Arlington yesterday. His supporters are too stupid to realize that.

You did it then, you are doing it now. Look, I do not like to pick on those with diminished mental capacity. Obviously from the age of the article and it being 2018 it is safe to say you were born that way. I really do apologize for thinking it was dementia.

Piss poor attempt at an insult, Sailor.

But it did give me a good laugh.

Thanks for that.

I can see I am crawling under your thin skin.
