Trump: Cancel Boeing's contract for Air Force One

Another reason Trump might not want to play nice with Boeing: Google "Boeing and the clinton foundation"

but it wasn't $1.65b for each plane.....the entire PROJECT they expected to spend $1.65b......besides, the $1.65b already anticipated the cost over runs.....

you know as much as I do..apparently the AF budgeted about that amount for the whole project.
Maybe it didn't include R&D costs?....something gave that number

they have their own air to air anti-missile systems, hardened "seats" for survivebility. It refuels in air like military craft.
advanced avionics all around, and hardened communications..It 's a flying W.House

somebody should have told Boeing that when they bid the contract......

Amusing notion.
Even if Airbus under-bid Boeing, how would it look for POTUS, president of the United States of America to gallivant about the planet in a plane not made in the U.S., but in Europe?

I suspect Trump has his item in the grinder on this one. Boeing can only lose by renegotiating. And now the man with the largest ego in the world doesn't want his billboards to show egg on his face. So he may have to give away half the State to save face.
