Trump Calls for complete shutdown of muslims immigrating to America

How predictably biased. Your post 1293479 is a simplistic list of vague and biased events. As far as "Fascism" is concerned you also approach it from a 'progressive' point, declaring it "right wing". Many scholars seem to disagree.
"According to most scholars of fascism, there are both left and right influences on fascism as a social movement, and fascism, especially once in power, has historically attacked communism, conservatism and liberalism, attracting support primarily from what in a classical sense is called the "far right" or "extreme right." Fascists are generally strongly anti-capitalist subordinating individual rights, profit and property rights to the State.[8]"
That from a wikipedia article on Kevin Passmore.
So, fascism is supposedly supported by the extreme right but yet it attacks capitalism, individual rights, property rights etc. I posit that fascism and socialism are two sides of the same coin. Political extremism is not a line, it is a circle.
Socialism uses the first seven items on the list of notions and images you attach to fascism. Oh, and eugenics? I have one name for you, Margaret Sanger, whom no one will try to call a Conservative.

Did I trigger some libertarian bot or something? This is a bunch of nonsense garbage it's not worth rebutting.

Mr. Trump could be defined as a demagogue. But demagogues are not spawned in a vacuum. A look at demagogues through history shows that when a people see that their "leaders" are not only not listening to them but are intentionally going in the opposite direction they look for a leader who does listen, who 'gets' them. Now, this seldom ends well but who's fault is it? Simple, that leader who fails to see what hie people want and listen. That's not a 'leader', that's a dictator by definition.

So what your saying is that Trump's xenophobia being supported by the Republican party is Obama's fault? Typical, blame others at all times.

Bush, Jr. ignored the liberals but we did not support xenophobia.

More Republicans support Trump than these guys:

•Jeb Bush: "Donald Trump is unhinged. His 'policy' proposals are not serious," he tweeted.
•Marco Rubio: "I disagree with Donald Trump's latest proposal. His habit of making offensive and outlandish statements will not bring Americans together," he said on Twitter.
•Chris Christie: "Again, this is the kind of thing that people say when they have no experience and don't know what they're talking about. We do not need to endorse that type of activity, nor should we," he said on Michael Medved's radio program.
•Ben Carson: "Everyone visiting our country should register and be monitored during their stay as is done in many countries. We do not and would not advocate being selective on one's religion."
•John Kasich: "This is just more of the outrageous divisiveness that characterizes his every breath and another reason why he is entirely unsuited to lead the United States," he tweeted.
•Ted Cruz: "Well, that is not my policy. I've introduced legislation in the Senate that would put in place a three-year moratorium on refugees coming from countries where ISIS or al Qaeda control a substantial amount of territory," he said yesterday.

I wish Ted Cruz would have the balls to stand up to Trump that the others had, maybe he's looking to be Vice-Tyrant in Chief.

A couple of things about Trumps latest heretical utterance: first and most importantly, it's never going to happen. Secondly, I think Trump knows it's never going to happen.

And it accomplishes something which the left and the establishment miss: it positions Trump as the person most serious about the issue. So while the left goes fleeing for the nearest safe zone lol, voters who are concerned about the threat of radical Islam---Trump has their attention.

It's also illustrative of how the much ballyhooed 'anti-Muslim backlash' is rhetorical and comprised of anti-Muslim verbiage.
The only thing it positions Trump as is a demagogue who is a bigot that does not understand traditional American values or the history of this great nation. He is catering to the irrational fears of cowards. It's that plain and simple. I'm not about to sacrifice my American beliefs and values because people of a different religion make right wing conservatives shit themselves in fear.

You have a way with words, that's the best I've seen it put thus far.

If polls are to be believed Trump has 25-30% and the remainder of the folks have 70-75%. Is it common core math that says the former is higher than the latter?

If I had claimed that Trump had more support than those guys "COMBINED" you would have a point, I didn't and you are smart enough to know it. When confronted with being wrong, you fly speck and make yourself look silly in the process.

No, it's not silly Jarod. Not a single vote has been taken and all the other Republicans are dividing the votes among themselves. Would you like to do a one month ban vote as to how far Trump gets?

I see the simpletons ova and ova exhibit their 'fear of fear'.........newsflash..........fear will not kill you. Fear is a powerful motivator. If the libtards did not have the fall back position of name calling their opponents racists and bigots what would they have?

What they have irregardless..........is coinfusion...consumed with it.

America has been attacked by islamic jihadists.

America has a commander-in-chief who is at the very least a muslim sympathizer and possibly something even more sinister...who makes the stunningly stupid statements of 'we must declare war on mass shootings' and we are not at war with Islam......(he forgets to mention they have declared war on us)...but he is right we are not at war with anyone...we are merely engaging in a doomed holding action...and anyone knowlegable about war tactics knows if you are not winning you are losing) just as dumb as george bush and his irrational and stupid declaration of war on terrorism. We had a stoopid President followed by a even more stoopid president....and this stupidity has filtered down to the peasants who you see on this board repeating the stupidity....a mass of coinfused stooopids!

They feel comfortable shouting out their platitudes i.e. 'traditional american values' 'demagogues' etc. ridiculous....and entirely irrelevant....what we need is a plan of action....Trump is the only one that has come up with one............Keep out the muslims. It is impossible to tell a good muslim from a bad one............and even one who is a good one today....can become a radicalized one tomorrow.

I would like to see this moron entertain the board with an explanation of his ...quote....'American Beliefs'....all I see from him is coinfusion, denial...always followed by apathy and an in-ability to take the proper measures to ensure National Security...a certain prescription for failure and disaster. Fear is not the enemy....being in denial to a real threat is exceedingly dangerous....you see the libtards exhibiting their denial of the clear and present danger ova and ova....in their arrogance and ignorance they really believe America has no enemies....that all we have to do is play nicey nice and our emperor can solve all the world's problems via diplomacy. Absolutely Pathetic!

You don't think Trump is leading?

"The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself."

Let me know if you want to bet. His support is not as strong as the numbers suggest.

I don't think he will win, I think he is currently leading in the polls. I think support of up to 30% illustrates a cancer in the Republican party that should be removed.

Trump keeps saying that "political correctness" is what is behind opposition to a measure like this. I prefer "respect for the Constitution."
