So, fascism is supposedly supported by the extreme right but yet it attacks capitalism, individual rights, property rights etc. I posit that fascism and socialism are two sides of the same coin. Political extremism is not a line, it is a circle.

Mr. Trump could be defined as a demagogue. But demagogues are not spawned in a vacuum. A look at demagogues through history shows that when a people see that their "leaders" are not only not listening to them but are intentionally going in the opposite direction they look for a leader who does listen, who 'gets' them. Now, this seldom ends well but who's fault is it? Simple, that leader who fails to see what hie people want and listen. That's not a 'leader', that's a dictator by definition.

•Ben Carson: "Everyone visiting our country should register and be monitored during their stay as is done in many countries. We do not and would not advocate being selective on one's religion."
•John Kasich: "This is just more of the outrageous divisiveness that characterizes his every breath and another reason why he is entirely unsuited to lead the United States," he tweeted.
•Ted Cruz: "Well, that is not my policy. I've introduced legislation in the Senate that would put in place a three-year moratorium on refugees coming from countries where ISIS or al Qaeda control a substantial amount of territory," he said yesterday.

I wish Ted Cruz would have the balls to stand up to Trump that the others had, maybe he's looking to be Vice-Tyrant in Chief.

The only thing it positions Trump as is a demagogue who is a bigot that does not understand traditional American values or the history of this great nation. He is catering to the irrational fears of cowards. It's that plain and simple. I'm not about to sacrifice my American beliefs and values because people of a different religion make right wing conservatives shit themselves in fear.

If polls are to be believed Trump has 25-30% and the remainder of the folks have 70-75%. Is it common core math that says the former is higher than the latter?

I don't think he will win, I think he is currently leading in the polls. I think support of up to 30% illustrates a cancer in the Republican party that should be removed.
 
Trump keeps saying that "political correctness" is what is behind opposition to a measure like this. I prefer "respect for the Constitution."
