Trump Calls for complete shutdown of muslims immigrating to America

When asked if this ban applied to Muslim American citizens living abroad, Trump campaign spokesperson Hope Hicks told The Hill: "Mr. Trump says 'everyone'."

FAIL!!!!!

Trump is a fascist

Every American should condemn the policies that Trump represents. The fringe far right is historically a dangerous group, I'll skip its history here, see reference below if you are interested.

"When fascism comes to America...it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." Sinclair Lewis

"When one considers the ideology of fascism many notions and images spring to mind: totalitarianism, nationalism, ultranationalism, racism, oppression, censorship, violence, Nazism, Para militarism, right wing conservatism, radicalism, eugenics and the Holocaust. As Kevin Passmore suggests, Fascism is all these things and not these things, as it has a mercurial nature. In fact, "...fascism, as Ortega y Gasset says, is always `A' and not `A'." (p.11)"

From second review below and outlines well the book. http://www.amazon.com/Fascism-Very-Short-Introduction-Introductions/dp/0192801554/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8

Passmore is fair and on page 31 he gives his definition of Fascism. I should scan for you. Authoritarian conservatism and fascism are so close they are mostly indistinguishable.

Liberals are so funny. On one thread they wring their hands that we are picking on muslimes because they are a peaceful lot

Then on another thread they want to change gun laws because we have bad muslimes

Because they're scared and confused and the reason is, that his "numbers" haven't dropped through the floor, like they FELT they would have.

Maybe their coming to the realization that maybe - just maybe - the American voters are tired of their liberal rhetoric and they fear that the bell they hear tolling, might just be their parties death knell.

A couple of things about Trumps latest heretical utterance: first and most importantly, it's never going to happen. Secondly, I think Trump knows it's never going to happen.

And it accomplishes something which the left and the establishment miss: it positions Trump as the person most serious about the issue. So while the left goes fleeing for the nearest safe zone lol, voters who are concerned about the threat of radical Islam---Trump has their attention.

It's also illustrative of how the much ballyhooed 'anti-Muslim backlash' is rhetorical and comprised of anti-Muslim verbiage.

So it's okay to espouse extremist proposals you can't back up, as long as it gets you power?

People didn't take Hitler's words seriously either. But he did everything he promised to do.

Ah, Hitler... Yes, he's another one who espouse extremist ideology based in xenophobia to get power. It's an ugly thing when you see a frightened mob support a would be tyrant.

Darth is of course of the opinion that the children at the day care killed in the Oklahoma City bombing weren't innocent and deserved what they got.

How predictably biased. Your post 1293479 is a simplistic list of vague and biased events. As far as "Fascism" is concerned you also approach it from a 'progressive' point, declaring it "right wing". Many scholars seem to disagree.
"According to most scholars of fascism, there are both left and right influences on fascism as a social movement, and fascism, especially once in power, has historically attacked communism, conservatism and liberalism, attracting support primarily from what in a classical sense is called the "far right" or "extreme right." Fascists are generally strongly anti-capitalist subordinating individual rights, profit and property rights to the State.[8]"
That from a wikipedia article on Kevin Passmore.
So, fascism is supposedly supported by the extreme right but yet it attacks capitalism, individual rights, property rights etc. I posit that fascism and socialism are two sides of the same coin. Political extremism is not a line, it is a circle.
Socialism uses the first seven items on the list of notions and images you attach to fascism. Oh, and eugenics? I have one name for you, Margaret Sanger, whom no one will try to call a Conservative.
