the government is not to be trusted. it's why the constitution was written in the first place. to provide strict guidelines and limitations on their power. once they have ignored that, they should never be given the opportunity again.

There is no better example than NYC, where only the wealthy, famous and certain types of cash carrying workers can obtain a handgun permit. If there was a bigger violation of the Equal Protection clause, I've yet to see it.
