Authoritarian systems are part of a nation's culture. There is no nation that was libertarian that became a dictatorship or totalitarian system.

There was also no country that became Libertarian through a revolution. Libertarianism has always been a work in progress, but one that inevitably gave the 1% more power which in turn led to bigger government.

I don't think the U. S. has a libertarian government. But taking less taxes from people does not "give" them anything. It just takes less money away from them although those at the very top do not get most of their income from salaries subject to the federal income tax rates but from capital gains. And the 99% didn't get those tax breaks because the Bush-Obama tax cuts already reduced their taxes or virtually eliminated them from the bottom 50%. You can't give someone a tax cut who doesn't pay federal income taxes.
