“Comparisons likening Trump to Christ were among the top online narratives about the Republican former president and his criminal charges circulating in the last several days, according to an analysis of online and social media content conducted by Zignal Labs, a media intelligence firm, on behalf of The Associated Press.”

“Zignal’s analysis found tens of thousands of mentions calling Trump a martyr. The number more than doubled immediately after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., linked the prosecution of Trump to the persecution of Christ during an interview.”

“In the Christian nationalist view, Trump’s return to New York could be seen as an echo of Christ’s triumphant entry to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, Fea said, with the exception that Christ rode a donkey and Trump arrived in a motorcade.”

Well it's not holy Thursday so the comparison doesn't hold up. But it's not uncommon for innocent people to be set up because of hatred right? That has NEVER happened and will never happen right? The left has built a brand in that very thing.

What innocent person? Paying a porn star with company money does not seem like something Jesus would do.
 
I can only marvel in utter disbelief when I see how some view Trump.

The "Rambo" characterization of him is always a head-scratcher - he's a very weak, insecure individual. But the cult-status/Messiah thing - when people talk him that way, it's legit crazy, and scary.

No I'm not talking about trump being persecuted I'm talking about the people with the power to persecute trump and anyone. Charges don't make a person guilty but they did in Jesus' case. Im not saying trump is Jesus or innocent I'm saying there is a powerful force that can be perverted to abuse innocent people. The rabid hatred of leftists at trump is reminiscent of the Jews rabid hatred of Jesus. The point isnt trump it's you.

Wow, now cause Trump is charged suddenly everyone is in jeopardy of being charged cause powerful people might have it in for them.

In reality, powerful people, as in this case, are being held responsible for their actions. Trump has spent his life challenging the law, the Teflon Don, and finally he got caught, and now you think this puts everyone in peril. Truth be known, powerful people, like Trump, have always gotten away, especially when they hire an army of attorneys and accountants to defend them
