Trump Administration moves to end legal marijuana.

"yet he seems to have nailed you perfectly...... " PP #487
If that were true, you or ANYone else could quote on specific I posted, that he nailed me on.
You won't, because
you can't, because
he didn't.

But that's OK PP. We're not disappointed in you. Few if any of us expect much from you at all.

Even if your anecdote is correct Bd, which it may be, as I gather Dr. Paul's specialty is OB/GYN.

But Libertarians were never an ideological monolith.
Last I checked, the national Libertarian party (check for yourself @LP.org) policy position on it is pro-choice. And that's for perfectly logical, philosophically consistent reason.
a) Libertarians support the principle of liberty.

b) Liberty means: the right & power to think, act, and express ones self in the manner of ones own choosing, provided that Liberty does not infringe or usurp the Liberty of another or others.

c) A zygote is non-sentient.
How do we know this?
Because the human brain doesn't function without synapses, and synapses are connections between cells. So one cell, even a fertilized cell, cannot have one synapse *.
And sentience probably requires more than one synapse.

Therefore we Libertarians champion a woman's right of choice; favoring the Liberty of the sentient, over the dubious attributed wishes by anti-choicers, to a non-sentient entity.
"One more time. Does being a leader indicate that Mr. Paul belongs to neither the majority or the minority within that subculture calling themselves libertarians? You mean a TRUE libertarian...no? I am sure you simply misspoke..or do you speak for everyone like all the other TWO FACED individuals?" R 496
iirc Ron Paul was nominated & ran as the Libertarian Party's 1988 U.S. presidential candidate.

Believe it or not, we do have a variety of views in our party.
We consider diversity a strength.

* Dr. Carl Sagan explains this quite plainly in his Pulitzer Prize winning book The Dragons of Eden.

So what is the Democratic party's excuse for not legalizing it?

What is the Dem congress critters voting record on legalization?

I can only give my opinion on this. (I don't want to read the thread).

I am a small government libertarian-leaning conservative all the time, even when some idiot wants to put a bunch of people in jail for smoking a joint. I don't believe that "well it's illegal" justifies enforcing stupid laws as if that stupid drug is the bane of society. This doesn't mean I smoke or want to smoke marijuana, it just means that the government is way too deep into our lives already, we need them to back off.

How do you determine what makes a law related to (fill in the blank) stupid? Serious question.

Welcome to my world.
If we are to be faithful to the United States Constitution, our Bill of Rights * grants us the free exercise clause, the right to our own religion.
And the Holy Bible reportedly gives us dominion over plants and animals.

WELL ?!
Marijuana is a plant. So if we are going to enforce the Constitution, which is what we conservatives do, then we are obliged to oppose the War on marijuana.

Those that want to understand the perverse economics of Drug War should read Nobel Laureate economist Dr. Milton Friedman on it. Friedman explains why Drug War makes matters worse, not better.

* which limits government authority over U.S. citizens

Spoken like a true pothead trying to say anything to justify getting smoked up.

I usually begin with whether or not the law actually has the support of the list of powers granted to the federal government in the constitution. However when you have a politician actually making an argument that MJ is just as bad as heroin the argument pretty much makes itself.

Marijuana is as dangerous as heroin (the only two schedule 1 drugs). Seriously. MJ is "as dangerous" as heroin in the same way a sunburn is as dangerous as sitting in a pool of gasoline and setting yourself on fire.

You claim to support responsibilities with rights. If one of those potheads from the "calm crowd" gets smoked up, gets in a car, and kills an innocent person do you support the pothead being convicted and going to jail for a long time on the first offense?

What I've noticed in the responsibilities with rights claims is that they focus on the rights and forget about the responsibilities when situations like the one I mention happen. It becomes rights then excuses.

dear fucking idiot,

Are you saying you determined laws against marijuana are stupid because someone made an inaccurate comment?

Personal preference and a law being bad aren't the same thing.

Seems you provided an answer to a question I didn't ask. Do you have one to the question I did ask, bitch? Or are you simply going to run your dick sucker like the whore you are?
