Truly innocent?

Prosecutors could push for a trial as soon as possible but that wouldn't put it in primary season would it? STFU
Prosecutors have a different burden of proof than the defense. Or were you not aware of that?

Agreed on the burden. The Constitution requires a fair and speedy trial. While the prosecution can ask for more time, if the defense objects, the judge will side with the defense.

No, Yak doesn't understand the law. Like most Trumpers, he has a criminal background and hates the law.

MAGAs have been spoon fed talking points that the judicial system is intentionally rigged against them and can't be trusted

But the simple fact is Republican presidential administrations just tend to be much more criminal than Democratic administrations -->

the first should be obvious as all these grandjury indictments come from either NYC, DC or Fulton County.......forum shopping much?......and the second is an outright lie, so fuck off.....

They’ve been spoon fed that ALL our institutions are corrupt. FBI, CDC, DOJ, EPA, election system, on and on.

Institutions are the glue that holds our country together. Without that trust, we see things fall apart, just as we are now.

More than anything else, that’s the damage Trump has done and it will take a LONG time, and the right president, to begin to repair that.

to be fair the fact they've been corrupt is obvious......the distrust is actually the fault of the glued up institutions, isn't it?.....

One of your MAGA friends posted the criminal statistics for Republican versus Democratic presidential administrations. So this comes from a MAGA source:

Last 5 Democratic administrations = 7 indictments and 3 convictions.

Last 5 Republican administrations = 123 indictments and 112 convictions.

Measured relative to convictions Democat Executive branch officials only commit crimes at 2.6% the rate of Republican administrations.

Now, just think about it for one second.

If one believed, or knew, they were truly innocent, completely innocent and easily provable, wouldn’t you push for a trial as soon as possible rather than try to string it out?

After all, don’t we expect proof on this MONDAY of massive fraud? That’s what was promised.

the truly innocent should take all the time they can get to prepare and fight the state!

plenty of people are let out after years that were truly innocent!

Wrongfully convicted man released after 10 years in prison

Reported Crime Date: 2003
Convicted: 2003

Guess he shouldn't have went to trial so fast...but I guess he thought since he was truly innocent and wanted to clear his name ASAP.. what could go wrong

Now, just think about that for one second.

Debunked ad nauseam. You’re stupid

lol....the fact you deny it isn't "debunked"....to "debunk" it you'll either have to show me that the constitution changed or that no states used procedures that weren't approved by their legislatures......we both know that isn't going to happen.....

sorry second hand lies (and probably sourced by a demmycunt) are still lies...if I remember that meme correctly it included the Russians indicted by Mueller......not part of Trump's administration

Desperate and false equivalency.

Trump tells us he has overwhelming proof of fraud right now.

Unconstitutional claim. False. And since that’s been pointed out to you ad nauseam, it’s now your lie.

I would hope his lawyers know about delegating. Every day law firms handle dozens of different cases and still manage to make their trial dates. The problem with trump's cases is trump himself. His lawyers should be paid double for trying to finesse his lies into a credible case.

If they get paid at all, given Dump's dubious reliability for paying people that work for him.

The EPA is truly despicable, they are operating far beyond their remit.

Since its inception during the Nixon administration, the EPA has been a mess, corrupt, incompetent and disdainful of science. Pointing out its many failings and calling for reforms does not make critics anti-environment or opposed to clean air and water. WOTUS is an excellent example of bureaucratic overreach, no wonder more and more EPA agents are being armed.

You've never been to court as a defendant have you?

I’ve testified in court multiple hundreds of times, maybe more. Local, state, federal. For the prosecution and defense.

The point being, Trump claims he has irrefutable proof right now. If one does, one goes to trial immediately.

But he really doesn’t, does he?

Agreed. Innocent people want to clear their name. Innocent people don't take the Fifth.
