Eric Cantor Seeks Distance From Rich Iott, GOP Candidate Who Dressed In Nazi Garb:

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) sought on Sunday to quickly and clearly distance the Republican Party from a GOP candidate whose past participation in Nazi re-enactments surfaced this weekend.

In an appearance on "Fox News Sunday," Cantor (the lone Jewish Republican in the House) said he "would absolutely repudiate" Rich Iott, the Republican nominee for Ohio's 9th District who apparently had an affinity for donning a German Waffen SS uniform.

"What we have got now is a new crop of young leaders energized to go to Washington for the right reasons," said Cantor. "Now Debbie [Wasserman Schultz, Cantor's co-panelist] went and launched into her attacks as to some of the reports about candidates that are running, particular the one in Ohio having to do with Nazi re-enactment. She knows that I would absolutely repudiate that and do not support an individual who would do something like that."

Well, I guess I understand it, you can't really run on your stellar record of success, can you? Four years of controlling the Congress and two more in the White House, and things are worse in the crapper than they ever were with Bush and Republicans in charge... and according to you, they were pretty pathetic then... so what does that make you?

Yeah, I think I'd also be trying to distract the voter with these outlandish stories about individuals, and attacks on their personal character.

You want to stick with that assessment?

Because I watched the DOW climb above 11,000 for the first time in a long time just last week and that's just ONE example.

But by all means you may now tell everyone how the DOW is meaningless, or that it doesn't count as "progress", or some other ridiculous "Dixie" attack.

Stocks are expensive because the value of the dollar has declined so much since The Obama took control, dummy. If you were smart you would have bought gold or some other precious metal.

How about all those folks that re-enact civil war battles and dress up as rebels? Or those who re-enact revolutionary war battles and play the part of Brits? Are they all disqualified to run for office?

Totally. Because I could easily imagine an alternate reality where it was discovered that a Democratic candidate was a Nazi reenacter he got a pass and never have a bad word said about it by Republicans. Really. I could.

Anyone have an answer for what this group of geniuses reenact. I'm being 100% serious about that. What in the hell do they reenact? I mean, the Civil War buffs do Antietam and shit. What the fuck do these guys do?
