I think that non-Christians sometimes get that unfounded impression. I can only go by the Christians I know personally, but they are the most forgiving people I have ever encountered. There are many phrases rooted in this Christian concept, "turning the other cheek" is one I can recall. I have often heard, "hate the sin, not the sinner" and this is the same concept.

This is a foundational principle of being a Christian and living the Christian philosophy. It is inherently impossible to be a true Christian, and not adhere to this concept. Granted, I am sure there are many people who profess to be Christians, and do not 'walk the walk', just as there are many people who profess to be Atheist, yet they wholeheartedly believe in God.

Why do you think Christianity is such an easy target these days? Isn't it possibly because Christians do not practice hate, and instead, practice forgiveness, patience and tolerance?

Like Ghandi said once when asked what he thought about Christianity in the western world , he said "I think it would be a good idea".

Did that make sense to anyone?

That's a great quote.

I'm sure there are true practicing Christians out there, but the problem is that the most vocal so-called "Christians", as well as their leaders, seem to generally have things twisted.

True Christians... Hmm if we had true Christians why so many different denominations of them. Seems like one would do.

The problem is that all organized christian religions have been infiltrated by noahide fascists, pretending to be christian clergy.

If you study the history of christianity it was a fuss before it even began as a religion on how to be a Christian. Proof is in the bible.

Not really referring to organized religion, just to people who try to stick to the philosophy of Christ, who strangely, never spoke a word about gays, abortion, sex before marriage, etc.

who knows what he said? All we have is at best second hand reports.
Seems like most all the new testament was written decades after his death.

There were great Ideas in what he was credited with saying. Love of your fellow man, peace and valuing all humans no matter what their social status.

I dont really care who gets credited with what Ideas , I just care that good ideas prevail.

Its the best way to honor the goodness that all thinking people known or unknown try to cultivate in our journey.

All of the Gospels of Jesus were written after his death written somewhere between 65 and 100 AD. That is the part I find so interesting. If we waited 65 years to write history, of ANYTHING, no one would trust the accuracy or it. But when it comes to the Cannon it is the unerring word of god.

It makes some sense if you picture it through the veil of belief.

God wouldn't allow them to pick the wrong message for the "one true religion" so, when man wrote it he was "Divinely Inspired" and his hand was guided...

Just like the Muslims and the "God told him what to say" with Mohamed.
