Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

I do believe that at some point Hillary, Obama and some of their minions may very well stand trial for these high crimes. protecting them is getting harder by the day

You mean you didn't know?

Russia has always assisted Iran with their nuclear program.

Yes, I do know. Iran is our enemy, and so is Russia. That's why Trump slapped stronger sanctions on Russia, and killed the bogus Iran deal. But you people are still running around claiming Trump is somehow a Putin puppet. Like I said, you're immune to the facts. All you drones ever do is regurgitate the issued talking points.

they are insane.
They look at one news conference instead of US/Russian relations which are extremely bad and militaristic

Why Russia Loves the Iran Nuclear Deal | theTrumpet.com

United States President Donald Trump is threatening to pull America out of the Iran nuclear agreement and reimpose sanctions against the Islamic republic.

In a rare display of unity, Britain, France, Germany, China, Russia and Iran all vehemently oppose Mr. Trump’s stance on the nuclear deal ...

why no mention of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization here? China is the organizer

Along with Syria, No. Korea, China, and any other dictatorship which Trump praises quite often. They have also forgotten how to think for themselves, and what it means to be a true American Patriot preferring to serve a despot rather then an honest leader.
the sane thing to do then it triangulate agaist Russia and China.. More sanctions and threats just drive them closer

If Trump had berated Putin, libs would have still freaked out. I guarantee they had stories pre-written for either scenario. They truly are insane.

It's not just the dems.. it's the IC..even Coats. The idea of a rapproachment makes them nuts

Looking for honesty in a leader is a fool's errand, our economic/political system selects against that in "leadership", in government just as it does in business. Because in the end, it's really the same thing; business and government in america.

Actually america is in a constant state of feakout, and you're participating in that here, over something you and countryfuck support. Freakout when ya support, freakout when ya oppose, freakouts all over your TV 24/7/365.

The worst-case scenario would be that the establishment actually believes the nonsense it is spouting.

The worst-case scenario would be that it's true. Given what we have seen of Trump's mendacity, ignorance, and (lack of) principles, who can definitively rule that out?

Failed rightist Patrick Buchanan can, apparently. Lol.

And to hear our elites, Donald Trump is guilty of them all.

Trump's refusal to challenge Vladimir Putin's claim at Helsinki -- that his GRU boys did not hack Hillary Clinton's campaign -- has been called treason, a refusal to do his sworn duty to protect and defend the United States, by a former director of the CIA.

Famed journalists and former high officials of the U.S. government have called Russia's hacking of the DNC "an act of war" comparable to Pearl Harbor.

The New York Times ran a story on how many are now charging Trump with treason. Others suggest Putin is blackmailing Trump, or has him on his payroll, or compromised Trump a long time ago.

Wailed Congressman Steve Cohen: "Where is our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!"

Apparently, some on the left believe we need a military coup to save our democracy.

Not since Robert Welch of the John Birch Society called Dwight Eisenhower a "conscious agent of the Communist conspiracy," have such charges been hurled at a president. But while the Birchers were a bit outside the mainstream, today it is the establishment itself bawling "Treason!"

What explains the hysteria?

The worst-case scenario would be that the establishment actually believes the nonsense it is spouting. But that is hard to credit.
Like the boy who cried "Wolf!" the establishment has cried "Fascist!" too many times to be taken seriously.

A month ago, the never-Trumpers were comparing the separation of immigrant kids from detained adults, who brought them to the U.S. illegally, to FDR's concentration camps for Japanese-Americans.

Some commentators equated the separations to what the Nazis did at Auschwitz.

If the establishment truly believed this nonsense, it would be an unacceptable security risk to let them near the levers of power ever again.

Using Occam's razor, the real explanation for this behavior is the simplest one: America's elites have been driven over the edge by Trump's successes and their failure to block him.

Trump is deregulating the economy, cutting taxes, appointing record numbers of federal judges, reshaping the Supreme Court, and using tariffs to cut trade deficits and the bully pulpit to castigate freeloading allies.

Worst of all, Trump clearly intends to carry out his campaign pledge to improve relations with Russia and get along with Vladimir Putin.

"Over our dead bodies!" the Beltway elite seems to be shouting.

Hence the rhetorical WMDs hurled at Trump: Liar, dictator, authoritarian, Putin's poodle, fascist, demagogue, traitor, Nazi.

Such language approaches incitement to violence. One wonders if the haters are considering the impact of the words they are so casually using. Some of us yet recall how Dallas was charged with complicity in the death of JFK for slurs far less toxic than this.

The post-Helsinki hysteria reveals not merely the mindset of the president's enemies, but the depth of their determination to destroy him.

They intend to break Trump and bring him down, to see him impeached, removed, indicted and prosecuted, and the agenda on which he ran and was nominated and elected dumped onto the ash heap of history.

Thursday, Trump indicated that he knows exactly what is afoot, and threw down the gauntlet of defiance:

Spot on. Trump is saying: I am going to call off this Cold War II before it breaks out into the hot war that nine U.S. presidents avoided,

Then the White House suggested Vlad may be coming to dinner this fall.

Trump is edging toward the defining battle of his presidency: a reshaping of U.S. foreign policy to avoid clashes and conflicts with Russia, and the shedding of Cold War commitments no longer rooted in the national interests of this country.

Yet, should he attempt to carry out his agenda -- to get out of Syria, pull troops out of Germany, take a second look at NATO's Article 5 commitment to go to war for 29 nations, some of which, like Montenegro, most Americans have never heard of -- he is headed for the most brutal battle of his presidency.

This Helsinki hysteria is but a taste.

Trump is threatening the entire U.S. foreign policy establishment with what it fears most -- irrelevance.

For if there is no war on, no war imminent, and no war wanted, what does a War Party do?

Some on the Right also believe that.

This opinion isn't inaccurate, but it I believe it misses the real point with the establishment and their current apoplexy.

Yes, they hate Trump for all the reasons you stated, but who they hate even more are the supporters of Donald Trump. What they hate even more than that is that the veneer and illusion that has helped them cling to power for so long may be lifting.

For so many years, it was an unwritten tenet that in order to "lead the public", one had to go to the right schools, take the right path, check the right boxes. Leading government was no longer for John Q Public the way the Founders intended. Oh no, it was too complex. Too difficult. Let the "wizards of smart" take over and you plebes just live your mundane lives while the "elites" enrich themselves on your backs and hard work.

More than taking Trump down "The Establishment" as it were is sending a message to any future, wannabe Trump "If you even think about doing this, we will destroy you and your family". They are sending a message to those who supported Trump "Don't ever get out of line again"

This is a full fledged war. I have been telling NeverTrumpers for months that this isn't solely about Trump. This is about a very large segment of society being sick and tired of the "elites" promising and promising yet doing nothing.

We were told that if we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan the world would be more stable. Instead we have wars that are going on 15 years with no end in sight. Think about that

We were told that if we just signed up for all of these "free trade" agreements there would be prosperity for all. That didn't happen. Oh some people were made prosperous, but the middle class was hollowed out in the process.

Yeah, on the surface they hate Trump for all the reasons you stated, but it goes much much deeper than that. This is an existential fight. The elites are not going to let their power go willingly. It is how they have enriched themselves for years. Do you think they are just going to get regular jobs?

Oh and for the NeverTrumpers who will bang their chest and say I have abandoned "conservative principles" and no longer support "free trade" because I support Trump, you couldn't be more wrong. I am and always will be a strong supporter and advocate of free trade. What I oppose are so called "free trade" agreements. You don't need free trade agreements to have free trade with another country. I have always opposed free trade agreements. They are nothing more than tariffs dressed up as "free trade". They benefit one or two industries at the expense of others.

Supporting free trade and opposing free trade agreements are not incongruent.

Trump is one of only two presidents in well over a century to be elected without winning the popular vote (the other is George W. Bush, who was about half a million votes behind Al Gore).

Does that sound like a popular revolution?
