Transocean agrees to pay $1.4bn oil spill fine for Deepwater Horizon

Having tried every trick in the book to evade responsibility, Transocean have finally admitted negligence and coughed up. That still leaves Halliburton but they will be next. I have said virtually from day one that it is disgusting that BP has been singled out and all the angst and ire directed at them whilst the others escaped censure. I am glad that my view has now been vindicated!! This leaves the way clear for BP to sue them for a share in the cleanup costs.

Save the whining. wanker.
One giant bluefin tuna sold for $1.763 million yesterday and your core-exit bomb went off in their only breeding ground

Oh how charming, apparently Yurt was right about you!! He said that you are a simple soul. Atlantic Blue Fin tuna are massively overfished so there should be a moratorium on catching them for at least five years. Anyway that fish was caught off Japan, are you telling me that Pacific tuna spawn in the Gulf as well?

What is you Yanks say? Oh yeh...don't be cute, you know exactly what I have been saying for over two years now!! I feel that you owe me an apology, I know that getting one from someone like Bijou or Topspin is impossible but I believe that you have more integrity.

You are drunker than I am high.

Really? What did yurt say?

He said you are simple minded. Anyway can you explain to me how a Pacific Blue Fin Tuna was affected by Corexit when it never ever came within even 6000 miles of the Gulf?? Are you trying to say that it went all the way around to the Pacific?? If you are then can I have some of that shit you are smoking??

No. I am saying I fish the Atlantic Ocean and a giant bluefine tuna sold for 1.7M and your core-exit bomb threatens my industry.

I am saying that you are full of shit. The tuna of which you speak was caught off Japan and never ever had anything to do or contact with Corexit in the Gulf. What you are trying to imply is serious grade horseshit. If you cared so much for Atlantic Blue Fin tuna then you would stop fishing for them, so why are you seemingly unconcerned by their scarcity and only interested in filling your boots?? It now turns out that the "eco-warrior" doesn't really give a shit about the Gulf except insofar as it affects you personally.

The species in the greatest danger of slipping into extinction is the western North Atlantic population (stock) of bluefin tuna. Thanks to 4 decades of overfishing, it has been driven to just 3% of its 1960 or pre-longlining abundance - a decline of 97% - as shown in the figure at left. (ICCAT is the international commission that claims management authority over all tunas, marlin, swordfish and the other big fish of the Atlantic.) The bulk of the decline which occurred prior to 1975 was caused by Japanese longline fishing on the adults as they concentrated annually for spawning in the north central Gulf of Mexico. In comparison to bluefin, by 1998 Atlantic white marlin abundance had been driven to 6% of its pre-longlining abundance, and Atlantic blue marlin had been driven to 20% of its pre-longlining abundance. Both have continued to decline since (for the details see Marlin).

It isn't the americans overfishing them, shithead.

This is why I find you so fucking frustrating, all this shit has to dragged out of you, why the fuck can't you just volunteer the information. Nobody should be fishing for them anyway and to blame the collapse in stocks on Corexit is just fucking bullshit and you know that very well. The fishing stocks were given 3 years in 2009, you lying piece of shit!!!!!
