There is a formula for GOP rule with an inevitable consequence which is...

GOP Potus (former) - Trump deregulates industry ridding it of prior safety standards and brags about it... calling the "effect" that will follow (crashes) "great" ...

Add in that Ohio has:

- GOP Governor
- GOP Senate
- GOP House

Add in :

- GOp Country where train derailed
- CEO of train company is a GOP donor

So on to the Result :

GOP governor admits Biden reached out to him instantly but he refused help, keeping this a State issue to handle. The GOP governor then makes the following decisions:

- Keep the Feds and their help out
- DO NOT declare this a Disaster at the crucial beginning which prompts a more intense response. Governor states 'I am not seeing a problem'
- Governor admits it is up to him and the State to determine HOW to handle the crash ('I am not seeing a problem') and the Feds job to determine 'why it happened' but if and when he wants Federal help in the State he will 'call them back'.

Conclusion :

GOP supporters see the formula above and conclude this is ALL the fault of Democrats

And for gravy on top, have that former POTUS, Trump, who deregulated the Train industry show up and blame the Democrats, while acting like a hero for bringing the citizens about $5000, worth of Trump water, which was one of his companies that went bankrupt in 2010 and stopped bottling, so this is warehouse stale, and probably toxic by now, adding insult to injury. The guy most responsible for upending the locals lives, and likely costing them years off their lives now, thinks 2 bottles of water per citizen = compensation for his act.

THAT is the GOP formula writ large folks. "Sorry we are destroying your communities and health for big corporate profits. Take these two bottles of decades old water as compensation'.

Don't like it? Move to fucking Canada

Don't like it? Move to fucking Canada

Or. ORRRRR

Stop electing republicans who will deregulate everything and leave safety decisions to be second to corporate profits.

This is not a tough decision for these industries. They see the cost of these big accidents is $X, and most of the long term costs of cleanup end up picked up by citizen tax dollars (corporate welfare) and their Insurance.

They see the cost of the entire industry continually upgrading their brakes and all other safety features as 3 or 5 times $X or MUCH more and make the determination they will stay on civil war era breaks, when new electronic breaks exist that could prevent this type of crash, simply because the math says it is cheaper to have the occasional accident, then to try and prevent it. But cheaper to them only, due to Insurance and corporate welfare picking up most of the costs. The costs is much higher to society overall, both locally in terms of health and lives destroyed, and tax payers.

Easy decision for an industry deregulated and exactly the calculation they will ALWAYS make, if you leave it to them.

If this inapplicable regulation was "soooooo vital", then why didn't Biden immediately reinstate it? In fact, he's had two whole years to reinstate it. Apparently it wasn't that important if he never bothered to reverse "Trump's awful decision".

Add in that Ohio has:

All irrelevant.

DeWine is a RINO, and Biden is a puppet. Meh.

Democrats refused to respond, and only pretended to respond AFTER Trump responded. Democrats didn't bother with reinstating the irrelevant "VITAL" regulation.

You mean that's the Demonkkkrat formula. Yes, RINOs who call themselves "GOP" are also a part of Team Demonkkkrat.

Trump administration determines 'the costs outweigh the benefits', when it comes to requiring electronic breaks on highly explosive trains.

That confirms EXACTLY the formula i laid out above and in the Trump admins own words. They have looked at the "costs" ('less profits and stock buy backs for Rail Companies) and the "benefits", ...diminishing these massive accidents, that cost lives, destroy communities, and cost taxpayers, and they determine the Corporate Profits are too valuable, and addressing safety is just not worth it.

What do GOP derp voters do with this Trump Admin admission? Why, they blame democrats of course.

Derp, derp, derp.

I totally agree with you. Democrats need to step up and fix all the GOP constant stream of fails and errors.

We all know and accept that the GOP is always going to do the worst things to harm people and help corporations profit at the expense of citizens. Even you are not disputing that.

And i agree with you, that Democrats need to be laser focused, when they get power to fix those GOP errors.
