That said, I hope they quickly catch and prosecute the perpetrator.

Reiner was a moron for thinking that guns cause violence. He sadly found out that PEOPLE are the only real weapons of violence. The tool they use is irrelevant. This is tragic - perhaps other leftists will wake up and grasp the reality of this all and future violence can be stemmed?

Even here in California, you don't need a permit to carry in your own home. And I agree an accessible firearm may have saved him and his wife. The main point though is that it isn't guns that kill, it's people.

I'm not happy that Meathead is dead - not at all. Just bemused that these sorts of tragedies don't sink in for so many. Violence is a real problem, guns and knives are just tools. Solving the problem doesn't mean blaming the tool.
