Toxic Red Sludge?

I struggled with whether to use the new hip, slick, and cool urban dictionary word or the old stand-by I have known since elementary school. I figured since the words Toxic Red Sludge might be a play on semantics and how the woman might hysterically view the word(s), I threw caution to the wind.

I should have known you'd ride in our your charger. I shan't be so hasty in the future

It's not a bad word and it might take off, who knows?

One lady said that when she breathed in the air she could taste a foul taste and that her tongue felt strange.

Might be psychosemantic is what you'd say?
No, that's actually characteristic of caustic soda spills. It reacts with metals and mettalic oxides in the soil to form gaseous anhydrides and/or hydrogen gas which would give the air an odd odor and account for a metallic taste on your tongue. What they'll do, once the spill is contained, is scoop it up in a roll off or dumpster and mix it with just enough acid to neutralize it, add some clay or sawdust to absorb any excess liquid and then dump it in a landfill. The real threat is if you get the stuff on you it will burn the hell out of you.

This is an example also of why in the US they don't allow containments of hazardous waste of this size with out a permit specifiying in detail how that waste is managed. In the US you cannot store more then 6,000 kg (~ 6 tons) with out an EPA Permit and those permits are very difficult to obtain.
