Exactly, like your party hating Clinton, but when it comes to quoting him on WMD's in Iraq, your party loves him.

It has become more divisive in the last twenty years.

We may still carry on polite discourse, it is hard, but you have to learn that you don't always have to be right to be happy!!!!! It is the biggest lesson I have learned in my life.

Politics debate is an exchange of ideas, it is best just to chuckle at those who want to make it so personal.

Family, friends, water, shelter, oxygen, sex, and food those things are worth getting personal over, all the rest is just opinion and we are all entitled to our own and we are not responsible for the actions of others, unless they are our under-aged children.
I am soooooo thankful I am successfully past that and now have grand babies that I just love!

you need to get a life yurt.... you asked me where you have said that...and "that" was assumed, by me, to mean where you had called me a moron...and I told you...315.

when you are imprecise in your use of the language, you should expect people to answer you in ways that, to you, seem imprecise...

but once again....you make the debate about YOU and ME and not the issue at hand. I asked you a simple question a long time ago about torture, and you have tap danced around it ever since. When will you have the cojones to answer it?

and you have never answered the question....you have merely explained why you are avoiding it.

True it is unambiguous that the enhanced interrogation techniques used on terrorists are not torture. Your repeated attempts to characterize them as torture is a lie. Your repeated misrepresentation that the UN trumps the Constitution is also a lie.

The first time that you, preacher man, have two queers in your run-down church say their marriage vows and you pronounce them man and husband will be a lie, and a sin.

you clearly have not read the UN Convention against torture. And I have NEVER said that the UN trumps the constitution. I have said that the constitution clearly elevates treaties signed by this nation to the status of "supreme law of the land". The founding fathers did so because they strongly believed that America needed to keep its word within the community of nations. Clearly, for all your purported love and respect for the founders and for the constitution, you really don't care that much at all when it gets in the way of your personal ideas.

Maine just legalized gay marriage yesterday... John Baldacci signed it into law an hour after the legislature enacted it.

2. Misrepresentation of treaties to supersede the Constitution.

I have never said that any treaty supercedes the constitution. I have said that, according to the constitution, treaties, once signed, become the supreme law of the land. that's a fact. NOTHING in the UN Convention against torture supercedes or contradicts the constitution in any way. that is also a fact.

Gay marriage is legal in the state of Maine. don't like it? stay away from Maine.

Clearly it is you who do not understand it, or are lying about it for partisan reasons.

You inferred it,as you are inferring it now.

I don't have any reason to visit Maine, but if I did, queer marriage wouldn't be a consideration. What will you do when two queers ask you to perform a marriage ceremony?
 
It doesn't "supersede" the constitution, it becomes equal to it. Among the list of things that are the "Supreme Law of the Land" are listed the Constitution, and Treaties.

This is why it takes a ratification process to pass treaties, they have very heavy weight indeed.
