From social media:
Top Republican Senator breaks ranks with Donald Trump's teetering administration and announces that the leaked war plans scandal is "going to be investigated" as outrage spreads.
This just sent a shiver down MAGA world's collective spine...
Senator Jim Risch — Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee — stated that he spoke to Secretary of State Marco Rubio "at length" after it was revealed that the Editor-in-Chief of The Atlantic was accidentally added to a Signal group chat in which top Trump officials were planning attacks on the Houthis in Yemen.
Risch claimed that Rubio "had no knowledge" that a journalist had been added to the Signal chat.
"This is a matter that’s going to be investigated, obviously, we’re going to know a lot more about it as the facts role out," said Risch.
"But from the State Department standpoint, I can assure you there was no one at the State Department was aware at all there was the leakage that was going on," he added.
Of course, an investigation is the absolute last thing that Donald Trump wants. His officials have been desperately working to downplay the massive security breach and, true to form, no apology has been offered.
Heads need to roll for this. Immediately.
