What a pity that you have such a limited vocabulary. You use the word 'patriot' as if it is some exclusive club to which only you and those who share your views belong. You don't seem to realise that out of 300 million Americans there really are very, very few people who do not have a feeling of patriotism to their country but who choose to show their feelings with dignity and humility and not as a devisive symbol.
Why not simply announce that you would like to share a little time to remember the fallen.
Much nicer, don't you think?
Strange how even the word 'patriot' is now used to divide a once united and civilised nation.

If your real concern was for those brave sons, brothers, fathers, cousins and friends, and you really believe that prayer will help them, you wouldn't limit your plea.

Pretty sad bravo.

Well said. :good4u: :hand: :hand:

Godspeed for their safe return home, and my prayers go out to the families of the fallen.

Interesting how people assume that he is attacking them personally rather than just showing some respect for those who died. Was there some specific list that they are following?

More interesting is his implication that everyone here is not a patriot and/or don't respect the sacrifice these men made.

God Bless and God Speed.

Apparently you do not read his replies to those of us he considers pinheads, and non-patriots.

If he considered us all patriots he would have made the post without the header that he did.

Did you think he is referring to Dixie?

The reason she identifies with it is obvious, and I bet if you asked, he would have included christie in his list of non-patriots, along with me and a few others. It is called deduction and christie uses it quite well.

Ya know, I consider myself a hard-hearted and callous person. Death rarely affects me, even if it's someone close. I suppose I've seen it too many times to be affected any more. But I still like to think that when someone dies it's not the place to argue. Over anything. Best to leave the memories, however few and fleeting they may be to us who are so disconnected with those who died, on better terms.

You and those that liked your post are obviously pinheads that just have to spin every fuckin' word they read and twist the meaning to convey whatever perspective they need to make a point...a stupid point at that....

I said nothing about sharing my views at all....if I meant that, I would have said so right up front....so screw you, pinhead.

If you can't just consider yourself (and you pinhead friends) patriots and let it go at that...then FU all....

Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious???

....Thats a sad commentary...

I consider every member the armed forces patriots, and label them vicious is about as pinheaded as you can get....
Is your President vicious?
Is your VP vicious?
Are you vicious ?
To make that claim is sick....:fu:

Apparently, you watch too much Bill O'Reilly...

Anyone can be a pinhead at various times...and it has nothing to do with patriotism....
