Two of the National Football League’s biggest defensive stars are about to go head-to-head this month in a fierce competition that has their respective fans all a-twitter with excitement!

Steelers superstar Troy Polamalu will compete with Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Haloti Ngata in a “friendly competition” that will pit Pittsburgh against Maryland – but NOT in a football stadium. Polamalu and Ngata are co-hosting the “BlitzHunger Drive,” a virtual food drive to benefit Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore. It began when Polamalu issued a challenge to Ngata on Twitter to help end hunger by firing up the fans to make donations to their local food banks during the week of November 21-28, the week leading up to the Steelers-Ravens game on Thanksgiving.
