Time for some GOP soul-searching

"See, you are just not good enough" is straight out of The Abusers Handbook, something for Conservatives and other enemies of the Revolution to remember.

Oh, no! You're mumbling and making no sense. You must be in your last throes. Please - try not to speak.

Trump! See ya - he has lost that party 3 straight elections now, and set them back for years. Will they have the courage to actually move on? Politicians like to win elections.

MAGA? Too tied into the Trump brand.

Election fraud? Republicans can stick with it, if they haven't paid any attention AT ALL. Voters are tired of the sore loser routine.

They need to get back to basics, and back to basic conservative principles. The demographics are also changing rapidly. They will have to appeal more to independents, moderates and centrists.

Soles are on the bottom of shoes, and most republicans couldn't find them with both hands.

The GOP is now reaping what they have sown for decades. After the passage of the Civil Rights bill in 1968, the GOP made a conscious decision to dog whistle to Southern Racists who felt betrayed by Johnson. The Southern Strategy was put in place, and for decades, Republicans winked and nodded to the racists and used code works like 'welfare queen' to represent 'the other'. And then, to paraphrase Casablanca, they were 'shocked, shocked, to find a White Supremacist seize control of the party. But they went along, they kissed his ass, and they put up with him. Now that he's cost them three elections because of his massive ego and his narcissism, they want to put Trump back in the bottle. The problem is, Trump doesn't want to go. And he will continue to haunt them for years to come. Because, as he so accurately put it, he could 'shoot someone in the middle of fifth avenue and not lose any support'. So now they are wringing their hands and trying to figure out how the fuck to get out of this situation. Trump is the party guest that ate all the food, wrecked the house, and now refuses to leave.

They could have ended Trump on multiple occasions, but they wanted someone else to do the dirty work. McConnell could have made sure Trump was really finished by simply removing him from office during the second impeachment. But he passed, and now he's fucked, along with the rest of the Republican party. Frankly, it's way, way too late for soul searching. They are just going to have to let the bloodbath happen and hope they can rebuild. DeSantis? LOL. He is no match for Trump. I guess they hope Trump is going to have an epiphany and tell his supporters to go home, but they should know better.

Democracy won All these loser posters at JPP lost, and lost HUGE. Have fun with your internal civil war. We are laughing at you.
I've hated the republican party since 1999. But I hate the democratic party too.
We all have our pet peeves, and mine is violent crime, for good, personal reasons. Why dims turn a blind eye to violent criminals and in some cases, like the New Orleans D.A. and mayor actually support them is beyond me. If dems would just make an attempt like Clinton did to clamp down on violent criminals I could well vote democrat . Hence I tend to vote libertarian. I am a classical liberal. Many on the Right would consider me a socialist. I don't care. I have no problem with European Socialism.

Basically, I agree with your post.

Yet at this point, I think it is impossible for the repuke party of treason to find their soul, considering they sold out to the devil, tRump and foreign enemies to wage war on democracy, all core values of America, society and humanity in a effort to destroy the common decency of civilization. The GOP of treason, insurrection, sedition and high crimes will no doubt carry the stench of trump on their hides until the day they die and most likely into the hereafter too.

Agree. Republicans showed themselves to be enemies of the United States.

Dumping trump will not get rid of the rest of the sickos in the Republican Party.

The "sickos" go with whomever they think can boost their power. I don't expect to hear much support of MTG, Gosar, Gaetz, etc. I expect they're going to be pretty silent.
