I initially supported the Iraq War and largely supported its aims at the time believing there was a strategic reason for doing it. But, the aftermath was completely mishandled. We should have leveled the place. We did half measures.
I honestly don't have an opinion about what is happening in Iran yet. It is indisputable that they were moving towards a nuclear weapon. It is indisputable that they were the sole funding mechanism and purveyor of terrorism around the world and the region. If this can rein that in and put Iran on a path towards being a country it was prior to democrat Jimmy Carter fucking up, then that will be a good thing. I do know that many in that region aren't not crying for the fall of the Iranian leadership.

More will be last over the next few weeks. Not just American lives, but the lives of our allies and their citizens. This doesn't cover the billions that this will cost both in military expenses and a self-induced oil crisis.
Iran will not collapse quietly. They'll go apeshit and try to take out as much of the ME as they can; closing the Strait and severely damaging Sunni oil facilities will be at the top of their list. If they have assets in the US, they'll execute a major terrorist attack or two.
Agreed on the lack of leadership in Iran once the government does collapse. This will become another Iraqi money pit for a decade.
