The relevant part you left out followed immediately where you stopped quoting tiger. In those sentences he named Texas and Florida and said those two because "That's where the slaves were"

Sure, I use to watch lee elder when I was a kid on TV. I didn't say you were a racist. You aren't in issue. I said you truncated the quote in what I must assume was an intentionally misleading way.

I didn't read that nor do I know what you read or saw. My op is based on actual film footage of tiger. That section on race appears sequential and unedited. That's what he said. So neither you nor Hufpo can dilute tiger's perception. It's on film. He is referring specifically to the south, not California or Boston or the northeast. He is also referring to country clubs. It would require followup questions to clarify whether or not he thought California country clubs were also racist. But he definitely mentions "Florida and Texas, that's where the slaves were." He was only 14 then. Those states are states that were and are golf fanatic states. He certainly would have been there a lot.

CA and Florida are your biggest golf states but Texas would be close behind. Tiger's a So Cal kid and played the largest part of his golf in CA. Clearly though a kid of his talent was playing all over the country.

im not afraid of real work. In fact I worked in a caddy shack at a country club. I spent a summer digging and moving railroad ties and grading by hand at a construction company. I was a waiter in D.C. at Gary's in northwest off m street. The manicured hands were attached to those who I was serving, for their corrupt 3 martini 3 hour lunches. I delivered papers while mowing lawns as a kid. Just cuz I think for a living now doesn't mean I'm afraid of menial work. It's the most satisfying kind of work cuz you can always see what the hell you did. Physical labor is mentally relaxing. I've never had a manicure.

The south had black Senators and a Governor long before the North. Long, long before the North. We did not have a single black Governor anywhere in the north until 2007. And the only one. The south also had black Senators long, long before the North.

I am fairly sure ( maybe not) I have mentioned that I did not vote at all this year for President. Other years and other elections I vote for the candidate whom I think best represents my views. Over those years it has pretty much evened out between
Republicans and Democrats. If they are white or black is not my choice. I do not select the candidates.
