Tide shifts, Democrat elected to House!

I didn't say it was a "sign of support for the left." I said that the Democrat won and that Democrats winning is good news for Democrats. And it is. The Democrats fielded an appropriate candidate for the district and won. I'm not understanding why you are having difficulty comprehending this.

then I will have to agree with you, as much as I hate it....it is true that becoming more conservative IS good for Democrats.....

you often look stupid like that, R's and D's frequently vote as blocks and dems are less likely to have litmus test you klansman er repukes have.

lol....you say this as the Dems systematically attack the blue dogs that took control of Congress for them?....obviously this isn't a "long range" strategy for the Dems....

There's no tide shift. The Democrats have won every single House special election since Obama was elected.

The only seriously competitive race that has happened since Obama was elected was the 27th. Although it is impressive that we managed to take the seat at pretty much the lowest ebb of Obama's support, I'd say it leaned Dem anyway.

The general Democratic strategy is to run heterodox Democrats in competitive districts, and balance them with Democrats that are heterodox in a different way in other districts. With the liberal base she can pretty much put together a liberal majority on anything, composed of liberals and a certain brand of heterodoxy.

lol...yes, we saw how well that worked in pushing through the Dems health care plan....

I'll assume you're just being obtuse to get a rise out of me because the other option is that your in danger of drowning on your own spit.

no...you TRIED to correlate this as a big deal because mccain carried this district on an anti obama/pelosi/ried platform...so, i say again, in the hopes you're not too much of a coward to actually address the points this time instead of pure ad hom

this has nothing to do with rnc campaign tactics....just because mccain won on an anti obama/pelosi/reid means nothing...as to the house election which has gone dem for long, long time...if the guy ran on an obama, pelosi, reid platform, you would have a point....however, the truth to non partisan eyes is that he did not run on an obama/pelosi/reid platform, not even close....

fact is, he basically ran on a mccain platform....thanks for showing your ignorance yet again nigel

It worked very well in pushing through the greatest economic reform of all time, that was a direct strike against conservative anti-human principles of causing as much death and suffering as possible.

if you wish to communicate you need to speak more clearly.....if you simply babble on about "greatest economic reform of all time" nobody will know what you're referring to.....is this something that happened since Obama was elected?, if so, wtf are you talking about?......
