Greta Thunberg joins protests at German village under threat of destruction over coal mine
Some stones, fireworks and other objects were thrown at police officers as they entered the village of Lutzerath, which has become a flashpoint of debate over the country's climate efforts.

Greta Thunberg has condemned the forced removal of protesters from a small village in western Germany that is due to be demolished to accommodate the expansion of an open coal mine.

Speaking in Lutzerath in North Rhine-Westphalia, the climate activist said: "Germany is really embarrassing itself right now.

"The science is clear: we need to keep the carbon in the ground."

She went on to claim that "police violence" was used in the removals of protesters.

Didnt realize you were so devoid of intellect and humor that you couldnt recognize it was obviously a play on words attempt at humor based upon her now famous " How Dare you" statement when she drug out the word daaaaaaaaare. Oh well,...not everyone is as sharp as I. :thinking:

How do people treat their own children when they have a popular worldly cause that they are passionate about?

What is so wrong with passion or worldly causes?

I dont hate her. I think she is hilarious! :laugh: I do wish she wasnt being taken advantage of by adults so much though.

My daughter got on one of those anti-weed campaigns very young, in her early teens.

But hey, she is in her mid-forties now and still drug free!

Depends on the cause.

If your cause is to push the Church of Global Warming, a fundamentalist style religion, or the Church of Green, a fundamentalist style religion, and all the socialism and misery these two religions cause; there is plenty wrong with it.

If your cause is to encourage people to be responsible for their own actions, to voluntarily produce goods and services for voluntary sale at a price agreed upon between buyer and seller, and all the liberty this entails, thus empowering themselves; there is plenty right with it.
