“Three weeks and 39 mass shootings. This is America in 2023”

Again, you seem to be irrationally tied to denying brandishing is a crime. Why?

Brandishing isn't a crime in my state, Dutch.

I've said this half a dozen times now, so I'm beginning to think that you're acting in bad faith because you see where your argument is headed and it's not a place where you want it to go, which is a paranoid society.

Paranoid societies are not free.

your home state of delusion is not recognized in the USA

like you did about the rittenhouse gun charge and wisconsin law??

WTF are you talking about?

Why do you have such a hard time staying on topic? Obviously because you aren't as secure in your argument as you think you are.

Given how you inevitably go off the rails and start spouting the most insane shit around, like open carrying is brandishing, confirms that I truly do know more than you will ever know.

Open carrying is brandishing...quite literally brandishing.

We are setting a record for mass shootings this year. Perhaps this will be the year we do something about guns. Registration, background checks, and forcing gun owners to buy insurance for the damage guns do to others' lives. That is a minimum. They should equal what we demand in autos.

non-sequitur argument. not even a part of the discussion. is this where you start to deflect shit now?

No, no no no no.

YOU SAID that it has to be taught, and you also said that you think everyone should absolutely have it.

So the only way that happens is if it's for free.

So you support free public education...or at the very least, see its value.

Couple things:

Cars have to be insured, you have to register it with the state, and you must pass exams in order to legally use it. None of that applies for guns.

Driving a car is not a right..its a privilege!

No where does it say.... the right of the people to keep and operate a wagon, shall not be infringed.

So comparing owning a car to owning a car is stupid and pointless since they have nothing in common.

LMAO! Wouldn't pardoning be an endorsement of the action?

By the Governor, yes. It's a political action. If it was a legal action, the law would be changed so that they weren't guilty of a crime.

Again, brandishing is illegal, even in Texas. You're free to live in a fantasy world where carrying a holstered pistol is the same as waving a gun around threatening people, but the law disagrees.

Exactly, so comparing it to firing a gun is stupid and pointless since they have nothing in common.

Nope...they both can kill..a nutcase grabbed a truck in France and used it to kill 86 people and the injury of 434 others, killed more at one time than any mass shooting

So any nutcase can grab a car or truck(weapon) and use it to kill. just like a nutcase can grab a gun and kill

A felon just released from prison on a murder charge can legally buy a truck(weapon) the day he gets out and use it to kill

If a nutcase steals a car/truck and kills 15 people with it. Do u want the owner and Ford held responsible for it?

That incident in France was 7 years ago and hasn't been repeated.

Just a couple days ago, 11 people were killed by a mass shooter in California and that wasn't even the first mass shooting of that week.

OK but the frequency with which the truck attacks happen seems to be at least every 7 years, whereas there are multiple mass shootings here in the same week.

Why would someone with a murder charge be released from prison?

And it's far cheaper for that guy to buy a gun than buy a truck.
