The shooting took place in a Gun Free Zone. They don't work. Chicago has some of the most stringent gun control laws in the country, obviously they don't work. They are unconstitutional anyway.

Makes no difference anyway. You can't imprison someone (legally) for what they MIGHT do. Only for what they've done.

Google is not armslist.com. No, you cannot purchase a gun through them and have them ship to your door. Take a look at their shipping requirements. That didn't exist in the old west. Of course, the internet didn't either. All you had to do in those days was just head on down to the local gun store quite probably right there on the main street, plunk down your money, and get your gun. No forms to fill out. No background checks to run. No waiting period. No license checks. No training requirements. NOTHING.

Sure you had gangs and outlaws, just like today. The difference is the gangs and outlaws were being DESTROYED by good people with guns.
