Thousands Of Americans Are Fleeing The Big Cities

Why are so many people suddenly moving away from major U.S. cities? Recently, I wrote about the mass exodus that is happening out of the state of California, but the truth is that what is happening there is just part of a national phenomenon.

The populations of some of our largest cities are steadily shrinking, and many experts are completely mystified by the seismic demographic shifts that we are now witnessing. Of course there are a whole host of reasons why people would want to move away from huge cities such as Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore and Cleveland. For some families, it simply comes down to wanting a better life for their children. But as you will see below, there are others that believe that things in this country are about to take an apocalyptic turn, and the big cities will not be a place that you want to be when economic collapse, rioting, looting, civil unrest and crime are all spiraling out of control.

According to data just released by the U.S. Census Bureau, Chicago took the prize for the biggest population loss from 2015 to 2016, and it was followed by Detroit and Baltimore…

It's obvious isn't it? Liberal Utopia is actually a fucking nightmare.

Baltimore is unlivable.Homicides are spiking up once again..

It's SO BAD the Baltimore Orioles ( who play downtown near the Inner Harbor) are not filling enough seats

Infowars wouldn't exactly be my source for City demographics. No question there are some cities that have been hemorrhaging population, there have also been those that are growing; SF, Oakland, LA, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Atlanta etc. Millennials like City living even though they can't afford to buy homes there.

I loved that game they played right after the riots, with no crowd present.

I love Infowars. It gets pretty alarmist at times, but there are lots of kernels of truth even in those reports.

This article, for example, is right in line with other publications reporting on the same subject.

The State of Rural America in 2015
About 2 out of 3 rural counties lost population between 2010 and 2014

The phrase “rural America” might conjure up bucolic scenes of small town life where salt-of-the-earth folks breathe fresh air and live a life free of the hustle-and-bustle of big cities. (You know, the kinds of images found in most political ads or truck commercials.) But in reality, it’s a place where it’s often hard to find a good job, and where poverty—especially childhood poverty—is higher than in urban areas.

Another disparity between urban and rural areas can be seen in the number of people attaining four-year college degrees. In 2014, urban areas*overtook*the rural ones by 13 percent, a gap that has continued to widen over more than a decade. Kusmin believes the disparity reflects the greater employment opportunities and higher earnings available to college graduates in urban areas.

A big reason people are leaving cities is they are being priced out. Some call it gentrification but it's the market at work.

Seattle is becoming impossible to live in. The locals are none too happy about all of the massive building projects which are helping to ratchet-up the cost of housing.

Atlanta named top moving destination for seventh year in a row by Penske

For the seventh year in a row,*Atlanta was named the top moving destination by Penske Truck Rental in its 2016 ranking.

“It is remarkable that Atlanta continues to dominate this list,” said Joe Hill, senior vice president for Penske Truck Leasing’s Southeast region.

Penske analysts compiled the list by examining one-way consumer truck rental reservations made through the company’s website, calls to the Penske call center, and through reservations made at Penske’s more than 2,300 truck rental locations.

The ranking adds to pervious data showing that the metro is one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities.

Oh no ... not the Black city. :rofl2:

Too bad .. Seattle is a great city with great landscape and good people .. many from Canada.

Anyone who thinks the cities are losing people should drive the backroads of America. Many small towns in the South look like stage sets as there are no people nor active businesses. If it wasn't for Route 95 and seaside locations you'd wonder what many of the people would even do? Of course the thread poster isn't interested in America, he is a ideology tool. We recently drove many of these roads and the abandoned businesses and even homes is amazing.Cities have their problems but they also have life.

I don't know why anyone would choose to live in the south at all; be it urban, suburban, rural, or secluded.

let's not sugar coat why people are leaving big cities.
Crime, and high cost of any housing that a human being would habitate, traffic.
The big cities have always been the bulls eye of drugs and the crime associated with it, but these things have risen to ces pool levels over the last decade.

And most of these cities are run by liberal politicians with access to the legislation and purse strings that could fix this, yet they choose not to.
The left wing of our politics lives off of the poverty and divisive cries that racism is the culprit.
People trying to have a better life, people of all colors are running away.
