A MESSAGE ABOUT BOSTON TO ANYONE WHO THINKS THEIR GUN IS THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE IN A WORLD GONE MAD:

Hey, Second Amendment lunatics. Think about this:

The entire city of Boston was under martial law the last few days. You get that, right? MARTIAL LAW.

In a cameras-everywhere society, we went from tragedy to identification to capture in less than five days. And to make that happen, the full-force of the government came in, shut down a major metropolitan area, instituted a no-fly zone, flooded the place with troops and technology and locked it down until it completed its mission.

Think about that, screaming gun lunatic with more weapons than friends, the next time you think your 100-clip magazine and fourteen guns can protect you from a determined military. Your “Red Dawn” fantasy is laughable.

Think about that the next time there’s a school shooting that could have been prevented by a ban or minimized by regulating clip size, but wasn’t because of you or the fearful twit in the Senate that represents you.

Think about that when some mentally unstable person gets his weaponry from a gun show without the simplest of background checks, and tears apart dozens or hundreds of lives.

My views on the issue haven’t changed in the last week. I want sensible gun reform and will continue to fight for it. I stand with 90% of Americans and against the senators who are in the pocket of the NRA.

You, on the other hand, got a big lesson on just how sad and defenseless you would be if Obama – or ANY President – truly was the dictator you fear.

You wouldn’t last two days.

This was not gun owner against our own government. This was a Islam terrorist against America. It’s too bad you have to twist it. I bet you are also disapointed that it wasn’t an NRA member trying to prove that guns aren’t needed to hurt people…. like I heard from so many liberals before they knew.

Ummm, they were looking for one nineteen year old kid who had been severely wounded. Even after their show of force, waste of resources and the lost productivity they caused, THEY COULD NOT FIND HIM. It was a citizen that located him.

Obama does not have the power to do shit. Shut downs like the one in Boston would bring this country to absolute ruin without any violent resistance at all. We don't work, we don't earn incomes, we don't pay taxes and there is no money to pay for the failed manhunt in the first place.

you're an idiot. The public was on the side of the government. The government had zero opposition except the 19 year old kid. It would be a very different story if block by block, every house were taking shots at them, and had a cause worth dying for. If the mighty american military machine can lose to ak47's in iraq and afghanistan, (as liberals so gleefully like to claim we have) then they can lose in an urban environment vs. a determined populace.

You also assume that in the event of a massive up swelling against the government that it would be 100% of the government vs. the people, but in actuality parts of the military and police may side with the citizens.

You are a slave, you are happy to have the chains fasteed around your wrists. You are complacent in your subjection. If I had something worth fighting for, I would fight, even if it were for naught. Better to die standing on two legs than groveling on all fours. This concept is alien to you because you a pathetic spineless fascist loving, freedom hating taker and servant.

Some of us have principles. Some of us have a line that simply will not be crossed. You don't.

Where were your precious vaunted "principles" last weekend when the Government had illegally implemented Martial Law?

You just sat back and watched it...

Oh yeah, we saw a HUGE groundswell of resistance from you supposed constitutional purists, didn't we?

martial law isn't unconstitutional and furthermore martial law was not declared. so once again, you are an idiot.

No, you didn't see a huge resistance to the martial law. They were in a liberal, urban area. That has never been where the groundswell of resistance would come from anyway.
 
Martial law was NEVER declared. People refused police entrance to their homes many times and the police went to the next home and nothing happened.

One of my twitter peeps was half a block a way from the scene when the older brother got run over. He was outside and all the police ever did was sometimes tell them to move back.

Two points you should consider here. #1. You're wrong #2. You don't know Boston. The best shot you got in Bugg Tussle County down there is nothing compared to your average Southie. You have no idea the kind of hard asses they got in Bean Town.

I'm not saying that they are not hard asses. I simply stated that the resistance to gov't intervention would be less in large urban areas, especially those that are more liberal. This is not saying there are not plenty of badasses in Boston.

LOL Dude, I've lived half my life in a rural region, grew up on a farm....and I've lived half my life in the big city. Dude you've got it completely backwdards and if you don't believe me you need to come up north and live in one of these hard pipe industrial cities ya'll think of as these "Liberal Big Cities" for about a year and you'll find out you are soooooo wrong. LOL

I agree with WB. When you live in a large metropolitan area, you have more contact with law enforcement, more times people are told to do things by law enforcement, and are more likely to be told to do things that are less intrusive, and therefore, more likely to do it without thinking. If martial law is ever enacted, I think resistance maybe be greater in the south and mountain west and less in the North East and California.
 
Now imagine this thing playing out in some city where all law-abiding residents who choose to are armed, and just to make this scenario interesting there are no cops.

That little bastard wouldn't have lasted half as long with a half-million eyes looking for him.
