This storm called Ian

Thanks for trying to walk back your earlier claim.

It's good the facts of this storm are sinking in...which makes it understandable why you won't predict the death count from Ian.

Yeah, hurricane Irma was a 'nothing burger' in Jacksonville. Well, except for those in downtown, which completely flooded, and those on other creeks and tributaries whose homes flooded. No big deal. One of my employees lost her home, the flood water was almost to the second floor windows. LIG is, as usual, full of shit.

Grok is a pig, along with being the dumbest fuck on the internet.

It's started to rain here already, and we are still two days away from the center of the storm. Unfortunately, it appears that it is going to pass Jax on the Atlantic side meaning we will probably get a storm surge yet again.
Be safe, wishing you the best.

As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, the hurricane was located some 80 miles southwest of Charlotte County and was “knocking on the door” of being a Category 5 storm, DeSantis said. Ian has the potential to be one of the most powerful storms in U.S. history.

With the storm bearing down on Florida, DeSantis and other officials say they are preparing for extensive efforts to restore power after Ian strikes. The state is also gearing up for search and rescue operations that could arise due to flooding. More than 5,000 national guard troops are activated and 30,000 utility workers are on standby to help get power back to residents. DeSantis said 26 states are providing assistance.

“This is a major, major storm,” he said. “It will have major, major impacts.”

The National Hurricane Center warned Wednesday that Hurricane Ian is triggering “destructive” waves off Florida’s coast clearing between 12 and 16 feet above ground level from Englewood to Bonita Beach. NHS is predicting “widespread, life-threatening and catastrophic” flooding throughout central Florida and “considerableable” flooding elsewhere in the state.

Downtown and San Marco. I didn't lose power once. You're full of shit, Yankee. It was a nothing burger. No flattened homes. San Marco floods in bad thunderstorms.

Have no clue. There are a lot of transplants here. Locals near the coast usually leave. There is no reason for one death except stupidity.
Do you believe all the First Responders should evacuate and leave the stupid people behind? Power company and other utility workers?

Just like Ian! Fucking liberal media fake news commies!! Always hyping shit. LOL

Many. The electric companies here restore power soon after the winds die down. More times than not, it's been a nothing burger. This is the media's Super Bowl. The threat is always overdone to the hilt. Our infrastructure and preparedness are second to none.

When the winds reach a certain speed, the first responders, power company, do not come out. Were you ever in a hurricane, you'd know this.

I think Natural Selection is real.

Good move.

I visited relatives in Virginia for Andrew.
My hometown flooded when I was 10, as a result, I have anxiety off the charts during bad storms. It a good thing I love my husband, Houston is not a good place for me, but the area I live in is better than other parts of Harris county.

Then you shouldn't post things like this, Lig:

Why shouldn't I? It's not up to someone else to save a dumbass. This storm has been well known for days. Plenty of time to find higher ground, that's all that's needed.
Unless, they believe that they’ve been through previous hurricanes and they survived. My friends father is in that category.

Again, it's not hard to read and learn. Category 4 and 5 on the coast is different than even being inland or a lower grade. You have to use your head.

The power of natural disasters should make any survivor respectful of them. My first hurricane was Frederic. I rode it out in the BOQ at NAS Pensacola. Even though we were on the "dirty side" of the storm, it was far enough west that the main causes of devastation was storm surge. Wind damage was minor.

After the storm, I rode a motorcycle around looking at the devastation, including a target ship, USS Ozark that had broken its moorings and washed ashore near the Floribama bar.

When Hurricane Frederic came barreling into the Gulf of Mexico in September 1979, the old minelayer/LSV, last of either type still in the Navy’s possession, drug her mooring and took to the sea once more, washing up some 30 miles to the East near the Florida-Alabama state line at Perdido Key close to where the current FloraBama bar is located.

I'm agreeing with you, Lig. Why the anger? It's a nothing burger. Anyone who dies is a fucking moron and deserves it, amirite?
I'm not angry at all. It is you frothing at the mouth spewing anger and lies 24/7 on this board.

You don't fool me.
You're angry. Angry enough to dodge the question. LOL

BTW, Lig, asking pointed questions is not lying. It's just embarrassing to the dumbasses who are asked the questions. LOL
