this shows what the gop base is really about

So is Ryan an idiot too?

There are many conservatives who share Akin and Ryan's beliefs.

If the party abhors those "idiots", why is one of 'em the Republican Vice Presidential pick?

Bump the shit out of this thread. Make the righties own up to their war on women.

Let's see.

Akin inadvertently put out in public what the GOP has in it's platform....the general public wasn't supposed to connect the dots to Akin's statement and his legislative work with Ryan on the most offensive, repressive and misogynistic proposals going.

Can't put that genie back in the bottle...and the GOP sure as hell NEED the women vote! So our resident neocon/teabagger parrots and pundits are all wailing "nothing to see, move along...stop belaboring a point" to no avail. Hysterical!

Yeah, quite funny really.
Mitt was a fool until he picked Ryan. Now he is an idiot.

The drive behind H.R. 3, the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act," is animated by one thing and one thing only -- the deep and abiding belief among its cosponsors that women are chattel.

Not even that "babies are great" -- many of the same cosponsors are those who'd wash their hands of the responsibility of ensuring those children got affordable health care.

Well, if you are a woman coerced, drugged or otherwise incapacitated by a rapist, too bad!

Every survivor who finds herself in need of abortion will have to submit her rape for government approval.

H.R. 3's language brings us back to an ancient, long-outdated standard of rape law: "Utmost resistance." By this standard, a rape verdict depended not on whether the victim consented, but on whether outsiders thought she resisted...

The people behind the bill are animated by the belief that their mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters are chattel.
