aug 31 2016 Deborah Pearl was driving to work Saturday morning through the local streets of Solon, Ohio, a Cleveland suburb so serene that Money magazine last year named it one of the top 10 places to live in the United States.

It was just after 7 a.m. when the 53-year-old mother of three cruised through an intersection and a man in a sport-utility vehicle ran a red light, slamming into the driver’s side of Pearl’s Ford Taurus, police reports would later say.

The intensity of the crash caused Pearl’s car to skid across the intersection and the SUV to roll several times until it came to a rest flipped upside down, police reports said.

Both drivers survived; somehow, the man in the SUV was able to walk out of his now-overturned vehicle.

According to a woman who witnessed the accident, the man emerged from his Jeep carrying a rifle, Cleveland.com reported.

Rifle in hand, the driver of the SUV walked toward Pearl and — as she held her hands up — shot her several times, the woman told the news site.

“I can’t get her screams out of my head,” she told the site.

Is MADD still around? They lost all credibility in 2000 when they supported the bush/cheney ticket even though the 2 men had 3 DUI convictions among them!!! MADD took a bribe.

Same with all those "special interest groups".....follow the money..they're all the same, hypocrisy abounds within all of them, like the current in vogue group...black lives matters..etc. Its simply a matter of money, attention and the 15 minutes of fame. Just look at the half black QB in SF pretending to be one of the boy's from the hood in order to get attention. Where was all the outrage when he was being raised by a white middle class couple then the acceptance of 10s of millions of dollars with an NFL contract? Suddenly....all his bad fortune is due to his "blackness"....right...

Niomi James, 11, and Jayla Parler, 13, were both killed after their car was struck from behind. Retired astronaut James Halsell, 59, allegedly struck their vehicle with his rented Chrysler 200.

The girls lived in Houston,TX, and were traveling to Brent, Ala. to spend the summer with their father. Their mother is devastated.

“The hardest part of this is facing the reality that I will never ever be able to see my children or possibly ever be a grandmother,” she said. “Everything about it is hard.”

Deputy District Attorney Jonathan Cross says that he believes there is no doubt that Halsell, who flew several Space Shuttle missions, was driving drunk when he allegedly caused the accident.

I didn't know about it. Yes - that is a terrible tragedy and it happens every day but nobody cares. If the girls had been killed by a shooter, the press would have made it their lead story.
