This is why 75% of Americans slam Biden for a lousy economy

Its pretty simple. My avatar pic was taken 4 years ago. Im almost 6-2 and weighed 218 at the time which I thought was pretty decent for someone 55 years old. Now Im 59,...be 60 in the spring. I thought it would be neat to be one of those super in shape old dudes with abs so around 8 months ago I made some simple changes in my diet. I use to kiss method and keep things simple and easy. First,....I eat basically zero refined sugar. My sugar instead comes from fruits and berries. Second,....I try and eat as close to WHOLE foods as possible. Next,...I increased my protein intake,...lots of healthy meat. I have chicken coming out of my ears...LOL Lastly,....I dropped my carbs down quite a bit and mostly consume carbs of the healthy type. No potato's,....no Pasta. I now am at an even 200. My goal is 190 by my B day in spring with popping abs as I do also work out. I will hit it too,...easily. It only takes three weeks of eating this way,....after that your body adjusts and you just feel so much better. My energy level is way up and feel great. Not trying to brag,...but I have always looked pretty young as I aged,...its a family trait I was blessed enuff to be born with on my Dads side. But now that I have made this change its REALLY became apparent. Like turning back a clock,....I really feel blessed.

I really do wish that you were right that catastrophe could still be avoided this late into the collapse...

You do understand this right?

Its pretty simple. I have chicken coming out of my ears..

We had a guy years ago--Wade Boggs--who ate an awful lot of chicken as well.
Hit over .340 seven times, won five batting titles, is in the Hall of Fame, and has his number retired in Boston.
I loved watching him hit.

I like chicken but unfortunately suck at cooking it.

S&P 500 Set For Best Month Of 2023 As Market Gives Thanks To Strong Earnings, More Forgiving Fed

Major stock indexes are on pace to post one of their best months of the last decade, with a strong batch of quarterly earnings and economic data helping to satiate investors.

- The S&P 500 is up 9% in November, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the tech-heavy Nasdaq are up 6% and 11%, respectively, with each index gaining modestly Wednesday.

- That’s the S&P’s biggest monthly gain since July 2022 and the index’s fourth-best month of the last 10 years.

- The banner returns came as corporations reported strong profit growth and evidence about potentially loosening financial conditions helped drive optimism about further equity expansion.

- More than 80% of S&P companies’ third-quarter earnings beat analyst expectations, the highest rate in two years, according to LSEG data.

- This month, the market also increasingly priced in the belief that the Federal Reserve is done hiking interest rates after core inflation and labor market growth both came in at more than two-year lows, a welcome development for bottom lines crushed by pricier debt financing.

- The still-battered bond market has also enjoyed some relief in November, as 10-year U.S. Treasury yields have fallen 50 basis points to below 4.4%, a two-month low.

Its actually super cheap to eat healthy. The problem is Americans have become soft and too lazy to even cook a light meal. Gimme a grilled chicken breast, a side salad, a cup of plain Greek yogurt with a little handful of fresh berries and a few cashew halves mixed in, a glass of lemon water and Im happy as hell. WAYYYYYYYYY better for you and doesnt cost much. Good too!

There's lots of overlapping issues with this. I think also the US' obsession with building cities and neighborhoods in such a way that you need a car to get around anywhere exacerbates the problem. People have to drive to and from work, and then in order to eat healthy you have to drive to the grocery store, find parking, Navigate around the morons standing in the aisles because now the big box grocery store is the social hub of your community. It's a combination of the governments subservience to major retail corporations and also automotive corporations that force us into dependency on them. No wonder people see a drive thru and think they're getting a deal for convenience.

HOLY SHIT, we thought the previously reported third quarter 4.9% GDP was great?

The numbers have been revised upwards to 5.2% from July to September for President Biden's economy, according to the Department of Commerce!

And, despite all of Trump's empty campaign promises, he wasn't even able to hit 3%.

Economy is such a nebulous term. I don't think it's great, but I think it would be *slightly* worse without Biden's policies. Unfettered capitalism is the culprit.

I realize you're a communist and don't understand what capitalism even IS, but there is no such thing as 'fettered capitalism'. Capitalism either exists, or it doesn't.

Because 75% of Americans are ignorant about how economics works?

More like 90% are ignorant and 15% of that 90% think they aren't ignorant which succeeds in making the problem much worse than it would otherwise be if they recognized how ignorant they are.

GDP is not the economy. Redefinition fallacy.

Remember him well. That guy was a pure hitter. Im much younger than you but I go back to 75 when it comes to Baseball. I remember like it was yesterday pulling for the Sox in the series against sparky's mighty reds. We got close anyway. Carlton Fisks 9th inning miracle wall scraper homer when he was damn near WILLING it to go over as he was waving his arms down the 1st base line. I also really liked Carl Yastemski and Luis Tiante. Tiante had a neat looking delivery. Damn good pitcher. Believe it or not,...back in those days I was also a huge fan of the Celtics. Back when they had Dave Cowens, Don Nelson, John Havlechek and Jo Jo white. Liked those 80's teams too with Bird, mchale, THE CHIEF Robert Parish, Dennis Johnson and Danny Ainge. Havent watched the NBA in MANY years though. I cant stand the modern game. Its soft,...they play like a bunch of pussies.

Here's the thing.

The positive indicators simply don't reveal how people in general are living.

They're composite numbers, and they don't reflect the huge disparity in standard of living here in America.

The truth is that too many people are not doing well at all.

Blaming Biden because people are hurting is fine to the extent
that you can blame ALL people
who believe that American-style capitalism is still working in the third millennium.

It's an anachronism, laughable if it weren't tragic,
and the broad-based continued commitment to it
guarantees that a lot of Americans will soon be suffering much more than they are right now.

If so many western and other allied nations
weren't so dependent on the US for military protection,
America would at this point have no remaining global relevance at all.

We squandered it with our social repressiveness, our naïve true-believerism, and our paralyzing timidity
when it comes to accepting radical solutions where radical solutions are required.
