trump has decided he does not have a problem with the military, or even the armed militias of Venezuela, it was just their highest leader that was his problem. Now he is all supportive of the armed motorbikers terrorizing the Venezuelan population. It looks like he will do the same in Iran. As long as they become a military totalitarian state, trump will support them.

A ground war is virtually impossible to conduct in Iran despite what left wing imbeciles may think.

A ground invasion of Iran is widely considered extremely difficult, if not impossible, for foreign powers due to its formidable mountainous geography, which serves as a natural, rugged fortress
. The terrain is characterized by the Zagros and Alborz mountain ranges, which protect the interior plateau and create a "logistical nightmare" for any invading force.

Geographic and Logistical Challenges

Mountain Barriers: The 1,600 km Zagros mountain range on the western border and the Alborz range in the north act as natural walls, limiting access to a few narrow, easily defended passes.
Strategic Depth: Iran is vast (17th largest country), and its major cities and capital, Tehran, are nestled in the northern mountains, requiring an invader to cross hundreds of miles of difficult terrain.
Harsh Environment: The interior features the Dasht-e Kavir and Dasht-e Lut deserts, which are among the hottest and driest places on Earth, making armor movement treacherous.
Rugged Terrain Limitations: The mountainous terrain makes the use of heavy armor, such as tanks, extremely challenging, as they are prone to breaking down and difficult to maneuver.

Military Defense Strategy

Underground "Missile Cities": Iran has developed extensive, deeply buried underground missile sites, sometimes up to 500 meters deep beneath mountains, to survive conventional airstrikes.
"Mosaic" Defense Doctrine: Iran relies on a multi-layered defense strategy, using guerrilla warfare tactics and decentralized, smaller units that can operate effectively in mountain and urban areas, rather than relying solely on traditional, large-scale tank warfare.
Asymmetric Threats: Instead of a direct, conventional fight, Iran is equipped to deploy asymmetric warfare, such as missile strikes, drone attacks, and the use of regional proxies, to disrupt any invading force.
