This is f*cking embarrassing,

I have posted pictures of myself in combat that is all the verification you will get unless you are willing to share all of your private contact information with the entire forum. When you do that I will post a copy of my DD214. Your challenge has been met pussy boy.

LOL!

You could have got those photos from anywhere. There's no proof that's you in those pictures.

You made a qualifier on an anonymous message board, then get defensive when called out on it.

All that makes me think is that you lied and are trying to cover it up.

You're the one who made your pretend military service central to your character, and then you're the one who refuses to verify any of that service. Because you can't. Because you never had it in the first place, right? You pretended to be a veteran because you thought it would make your argument more credible. That's why you qualified it.

I see right through you.

The problem is that he has made his service central to his character and argument. He qualified his statements with that. So when you qualify yourself, it's expected that you are able to prove that qualification. He refuses to do that. It's obvious why.

This isn't my first rodeo with Conservatives who embellish; I saw it happen with Joe (not his name) the Plumber (not his job), with Julie "My insurance premiums increased because of Obamacare, only they actually went down according to my insurer" Boonstra, and Ashley "some black guy carved a backwards B in my face because I was a McCain supporter" Todd.

That's all Conservatives do; embellish and exaggerate their personal stories for the only reason to lend their arguments credibility.

You should be able to come and make an argument without invoking any personal circumstances at all, let alone ones you refuse to verify.

So when a Conservative inserts qualifiers into their argument, you know those qualifiers are bullshit because all they're doing is serving the makeshift credibility these people think they have.

It's a lazy crutch and is weak sauce.

LV...I read your posts and we are on the same page on many, many items.

WE ARE NOT ON THIS ONE.

Grumpy wants to remain anonymous. The only way he can verify his military service is to surrender that anonymity...which he should not be asked to do.

You might try surrendering yours as part of your request. He might provide evidence as a result.

But whether he does or not...to arbitrarily deny his service is a very low blow. If someone did it to me, I would tell them to go fuck themselves.

As I said, we agree on lots. But here you are off base.

He already has proved that he's a vet many times over....you are free to prove otherwise if you feel that he is not.
Tom Brady wouldn't be posting the crap that you do....and certainly not here...So no, I wouldn't believe you;)

This is the entire point of Reality America. Everything is real, nothing is real, screech "liar" at everyone you meet.

We do see that you're not well...get some rest and try to enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

Being a vet makes nothing more credible.

You and I know that. But they don't. That's why they do it. That's why they call themselves "veterans" or "small business owners" or whatever. They're all qualifiers that are designed to lend a flailing argument support it doesn't have on its merits.

It's so fucking lazy too.

If these are the rules, I could say that I'm Tom Brady and you have to accept that simply because I'm saying it. Or I could say I'm your boss and that nothing you're saying is true. Or I could say I'm your spouse and that you're lying to everyone on these boards. Or I could say I'm (insert whatever you want here) and that authority I established makes my argument credible.

It's all smoke and mirrors.

You should be able to make an argument without invoking any personal history or information at all. The fact that these traitors can't do that, and that they have to lean on qualifiers, casts doubt on their characters and their arguments.

Actually he replied and agreed as well.

Sorry pussy boy but she has seen my military information. Now meet my challenge or shut up.

You could have faked it.

You're spreading Russian propaganda here, is it really a stretch to think you'd misrepresent yourself on an anonymous message board?

How about making an argument without using qualifiers? Can you not do that, or does everything you argue have to come with the qualifier that you're a veteran? Because that's what you're doing, shitforbrains.

So you think only "conservatives" do this? Americans and their labels

They are here in this thread.

So stop trying to "both sides" this thing and let's deal with the reality of what we are seeing unfolding before our very eyes on this thread;

A Conservative was losing an argument, so in order to regain credibility he qualified his statement with a piece of personal information he knows cannot be verified. It's not something he can even prove beyond a reasonable doubt without doxxing himself. So when you invoke personal circumstances and anecdotes like that, you're lending your argument credibility of authority. And it's all bullshit because Conservatives have been doing this for years; pretending to be veterans, pretending to be small business owners, pretending to be Obamacare victims...it's all pretend. No one holds them accountable for it because most people just accept the qualifiers at face value. My question is; why? Why should we accept qualifiers from people who are disseminating propaganda on behalf of Trump and Russia? Are these trustworthy people who can be counted on to be honest? Think about it.

On all this, we will have to agree to agree...(that may be a first and may never happen again...this is a moment in time to treasure...)
(Several here constantly scream that I was never a teacher... So, what did they do? They searched for and posted a screen shot of the Dept. of Education page with my teaching credentials on it=even pointed out that my parent's names were on the same page...but they continued to scream that I have never taught. People are insane.)

He already has proved that he's a vet many times over....you are free to prove otherwise if you feel that he is not.

No he hasn't. Not in this thread.

All he did was post a random photo that could have come from anywhere, and tried to pass it off as him.

If he wants to claim being a veteran, he needs to doxx himself. Otherwise, he's just another Conservative inventing another fake qualifier to lend his argument credibility it doesn't have on the facts. It's a self-appeal to authority, which is a fallacy.

Tom Brady wouldn't be posting the crap that you do....and certainly not here...So no, I wouldn't believe you;)

Prove I'm not. Go ahead. I'll wait.

Jesus H. Christ, LV...DON'T ACCEPT IT.

But don't say it is a lie...UNLESS YOU CAN PROVE IT TO BE A LIE.

You are doing to him what you claim he is doing to you.

I do not know if he is a military vet or not. (I strongly suspect he is.)

BUT I CAN SEE NO WAY FOR YOU TO KNOW HE IS OR NOT.

And I hear you denying that he is a vet.

Stop!

Don't double down on this...because you are a sure loser on the issue.

Sorry pard, I just don't buy into the partianshithead perceptual reality. And this is no political discussion. Maybe it was at some point?

My problem is that america itself runs upon pretend, like you're pretending there's a resolution to something you know cannot be verified.

Grumpy wants to remain anonymous. The only way he can verify his military service is to surrender that anonymity...which he should not be asked to do.

Why shouldn't he be asked to do it? His argument is based on a self-appeal of authority. Without verification of that authority, he's just yankin' your chain.

And the fact he is hiding behind the anonymity of the message boards is exactly why his claim is bullshit, and why you shouldn't accept it from him, or anyone.

In this age where Russians are pretending to be Americans, most of whom have the same level of spelling and grammar as these fools, you cannot simply take their word for it that these people are who they claim to be.

Also, what kind of person makes a self-appeal to authority on an anonymous message board anyway?

A liar, that's what kind.

You might try surrendering yours as part of your request. He might provide evidence as a result.

I'm not the one who made my personal circumstances central to my argument. He did. So why the hell should I do anything when he's the one doing self-appeals to authority as the basis for his arguments?

First, you'll have to claim to be Tom Brady....and provide some proof.
