I wish I could say I was visionary, and positioned myself carefully for this. I did realize that being close to NYC, but not too close would be good. I didn't not realize it would be this good.

We are not used to this part of society. We have had a good run of not dealing with contagious diseases, so we grew to think we never were going to have to deal with them. The reality is that we were just lucky (plus a lot of hard work behind the scenes).

Lockdowns and quarantines are part of society. There are hard decisions to be made by how much lockdown, and how much death. But those hard decisions are not going to be helped by the idiots announcing that it is all a hoax or a lie. It is not.

Politicians will say we cannot put a price on human life, but then they will do it anyway. So we will need to work out a price. We will make mistakes, and miss the right amount of lockdown, but hopefully we will try our best.

I would like to see more invested into testing, and contact tracing. That will allow us to mitigate the spread, and more importantly calculate the most optimal lockdown mix.

The important thing to remember is there is NO CURE COMING!!! There might be a vaccine in a year, but that is a long way off. Hopefully, we will help the WHO come up with a best practices treatment that will save lives, but will not be a silver bullet cure.
