Why is modern immigration ALMOST ALWAYS one way? To the western world,.... meaning Europe, the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand. ALWAYS.

Furthermore.........If the United States is such an immoral racist country that is so horrific to minorities why is it exactly that so many from all over the world would do almost anything to get here? Is it that A....we are not such a racist country? Or B....the places that the immigrants come from are much MUCH worse then the United States because if they werent why would they ever come,...that would be stupid right?

Inquiring minds want to know these things....... ;)
 
I think it may be high time that the Western countries start Over running the rest of the world again. Why not,.....we did it in the past and it seemed to work out pretty good for us! :laugh:

Mostly B, I believe. People are fleeing sectarian war, famine, genocide, economic collapse, ethnic cleansing, general extreme violence, and any other number of protracted hardships.

Try not to be so over-the-top on the “such an immoral racist country”. But, do recognize that racism still exists in this country. This forum alone should convince you of that.

Of course there is racism in the USA,...just exactly like there is and always has been in every country on Earth. Furthermore it is committed by everyone , regardless of race.

Yep. Doesn’t make it OK, does it? The best we can do is recognize that it exists and do what we can to minimize it.

These days, it seems that even recognizing its existence is a hurdle.

True....it doesnt make it right. But lets get this thread turned back to what it was intended to be about. That being.......WHY is it that almost all immigration is only one way? That being POC trying to get to the western countries in Europe, The U.S, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. WHY is that? Why do people from third world countries seem to be just drawn to us in the west like a magnet? Its interesting to me. Is it our culture, the way we speak, look, act, what is IT ?

So immigration is NOT almost all one way? Is THAT what you are saying? Because if it is it is YOU that is ignorant. That or you are just lying AGAIN because quite frankly almost nobody is THAT ignorant. So please,....simply stop lying.

That's simply not true...the vast majority of any mention of racism here comes from people trying to lay the blame on others for things they're incredibly guilty of doing themselves...Mirroring what's happening in this country every day.... all day long...

I found a thing called a “Corruption Index”. It ranks countries as to how corrupt their governments are. It correlates well with people fleeing their country. Also, take a look at where they’re fleeing from. Venezuela, Syria, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Sudan. Protracted violence, civil war, economic and political instability, persecution of all sorts (religious, national, social, racial, political), hunger, even climate change.

That’s what I’m saying. Those people are the very ones in denial of their own racism. A significant hurdle to overcome.

As Stone alluded, bigotry and prejudice exist as part of the human condition. It's even in the Bible and all recorded history. Agreed our efforts should be to minimize it, but most politicians only want to point the finger of blame and minimize nothing.

As for "recognizing its existence" the two forces at work are distorting reality: Those who claim there's too much and those who claim it doesn't exist. Racism in America is a reality, but it's also a political tool which confuses people on what is real and what is bullshit.

The death of Breonna Taylor is real. The streaming murder of George Floyd is real.
 
IMO the driving factor in most of the immigration is this....... The poorest of the Poor in America,....meaning those on welfare/public assistance are equal to those in the UPPER middle or higher in most 3rd world countries. So if someone is at the bottom rung in say India, or one of the African or central American countries can get here they will start at the bottom rung in America as well but that bottom rung is SO FAR up the ladder than the one they left that it is incomparable. Our poor are given homes to live in, food and health care provided, internet and cable tv access, electricity and heat and water. Quite a difference indeed. And to top it all off,.......not only have their lives improved 100 fold,....they also have at least a chance to keep moving UP that ladder,....a ladder with a much higher bottom and higher ceiling than the one they jumped off of when they left their country of origin.

Dude,...just stop. Maybe tomorrow you can debate me on the existence of the moon by denying it too. Any GOOD debate needs to start with all parties being honest. If you cant or wont be honest than kindly get OUT OF HERE. I have no interest in posting with a silly liar.
