Things may improve even if Trump wins.

Until now Republicans in the Senate have bent over forward to please Trump, or have at least stayed out of his way, because the party depended greatly on his voters. But starting on November 4th Trump no longer will have future voters and the party will have to begin to position itself for a future without him. So, at some point soon after the election expect O’Connell to have a chat with a reelected Trump about this revised reality. And O’Connell has things to hold over Trump’s head with which to persuade him to cooperate as compared to the last three plus years of servile cooperation the other way around.

Cooling the inflammatory rhetoric will be on the list.

It was long ago decided that Trump is not allowed to win.

Wow, no. Expect Trump to take dictatorial power if he remains in office.

The elite class is almost universally against Trump.....this could never happen.....this is anti-Trump propaganda that could only work on the profoundly ignorant.

By who? Quit saying such goofy things. Trump was even until he totally fucked up the Trump virus. It is difficult to cover up allowing a quarter-million Americans to die. And of course that crashed the economy.

There's still the possibility that Trumpism goes on without Trump. There's already talk about Don Jr running for president. And even he doesn't, if Trump does get reelected, the message to the RNC will be that Trumpism works. So we could end up with another Republican, someone not related to Trump, doing the Trumpist act.
So yeah, I'm a lot less optimistic.

Good luck with that one, Trump has already attacked the few Senators who he sees as turning on him, if he were to win, the same would continue, probably get worse

Not just a Trump, Trump rose playing off that angry pseudo populist movement in the GOP since the nineties with Nyet and talk radio’s rise, ain’t changing overnight

Lockdowns crashed the economy.

Assuming Trump wins, Republicans would do well to get on board, finally. They pissed around waiting for Trump to get impeached the first two years of his term. What did that get them? They lost the House to Democrats.

If Biden wins—I’m not sure democrats even know what, exactly, they plan to do. Celebrate the end of the Bad Orange Man, I guess. Oops, this governance thing. We didn’t exactly plan for this. What the hell do we do now?

If Biden wins it will be the Obama midterm Shellacking 2.0, because the dirty little secret is too much of the country isn’t interested in what democrats are selling. Then the pendulum swings back the other way, Trump supporters are still living and breathing and looking for someone to pick up Trumps MAGA agenda.

And around we go. It will never be the same again.

I thought of this, I agree. If Trump* wins he becomes lame duck the next day, more so than most second term presidents. He loses lots of his ability to bully Republicans.

odd you have been saying consistently all along that Trump wins??..I dont think economic nationalism can survive
-especially with Biden as POTUS.. He's throwing a state dinner for President Xi instead.

What I said is that this idea that Trump would make himself dictator is not just divorced from Reality, this is worse than that this represents as a manifestation of insanity. Given that I go ahead and call it Anti Trump Propganda, and so bad that only the true dim wits could believe that it is true therefor I go ahead and assume that most of the people who repeat it are people who lie to get power.....really scummy people.

bully Republicans? Trump has a bunch of dysfunctional Senators. Mittens and Sasse etc. Sasse was born in '72 -the "Me Generation"
Trump's consistent line at the rallies gives credit to Democratic partisan unity
