There would never have been an American Dream without Progressive policies.

Pretty sure the Trumptonians are looking for a King.

It was the merchant class that led the fight to defeat monarchy and give us freedom from massive gov't rule. :palm: It is the socialists that want to take that freedom away.

The descendants of the loyalist who prefer a system of serfs and lords and generational nepotism. In other words...cowardly suppine idiots.

It is the modern progressives that want to destroy class mobility and have the citizens ruled by their "experts'. :palm:

The old uneducated feeble minds want a herbert hoover like economy

When the Great Depression hit, the Leftists declared capitalism dead. Socialism (monarchy) became the new Liberal Cool. But no Pols could pay for all the free shit they dangled to buy votes, so they had to go to war and steal from their neighbors.

There is a prime example there. Just another progressive talking out their ass about things they never did..

Progressive thought has always prevailed in the end. Emancipation, women's rights, labor laws, civil rights, environmental protections, education, et al.

I'm conservative on some issues, but I think conservatism in general is very reactionary/status quo.

Emancipation, women voting, civil rights act(s) and the EPA were all REPUBLICAN INTITIATIVES....the Civil Rights Act(s) passed due to the Senate GOP breaking the democrat filibuster.

And that's just a fact.

This is what the Progressive movement is trying to revive. There are many young Progressives coming into Congress and many getting ready to primary moderates and corporate owned Dems. They are the ONLY representatives who will bring back the now totally defunct American Dream.

No taxation without representation.

That was the battle cry.

And now, we have Republicans who want to count only citizens or possibly only voters in the redistricting process.

That would amount to taxation without representation.

The Constitution says 'all real persons' need to be counted.

First they tried to screw with the Census, adding the citizenship question.

That was shot down by the SCOTUS.

Now DT ordered all federal agencies to report all information on who is and is not a citizen to the Commerce Department (which controls the Census.)

This information will be made available to all the red states who want to go against the Constitution and fail to consider who resides in each district.

Non-citizens and children may not be considered in States like Texas, where the vast majority of children are non-white.

If Republicans did fair districting in Texas they would lose their slim majority. And they can't have that. Fairness is no longer part of Republican thinking.

And the conservative states are talking to each other, getting ideas from one another on how to handle this.

Gerrymandering is here to stay, and Republicans will be using it to stack the deck in their favor.

'Taxation without Representation' should be part of their platform.

They have become anti-American.

^A new level of stupid. Just when you think they can't bloviate any dumber. ;)

And that's just a fact.
Not a fact. An argument. Learn what 'fact' means. It does not mean 'proof' or 'Universal Truth'.
This is what the Progressive movement is trying to revive.
WRONG. Socialism is not the American dream. Fascism is not the American dream.
There are many young Progressives coming into Congress and many getting ready to primary moderates and corporate owned Dems. They are the ONLY representatives who will bring back the now totally defunct American Dream.
WRONG. Neither socialism nor fascism are the American dream.

Up to and during the Revolutionary war.
And now, we have Republicans who want to count only citizens or possibly only voters in the redistricting process.
Works for me. That's in the constitution.
That would amount to taxation without representation.
Nope. Citizens and voters are the ones that pay taxes.
The Constitution says 'all real persons' need to be counted.
No, it doesn't. Try reading it sometime.
First they tried to screw with the Census, adding the citizenship question.
It's always been there, except the 2010 census.
That was shot down by the SCOTUS.
SCOTUS does not have authority to change the Constitution.
Now DT ordered all federal agencies to report all information on who is and is not a citizen to the Commerce Department (which controls the Census.)
Nothing illegal about that!
This information will be made available to all the red states who want to go against the Constitution and fail to consider who resides in each district.
What 'red' State has gone against the Constitution. Specify detail. The SOTC, on the other hand, has effectively left the republic. I no longer consider it a State. Sacramento no longer recognizes the U.S. Constitution or the Constitution of the State of California.
Non-citizens and children may not be considered in States like Texas, where the vast majority of children are non-white.
So? They don't vote or pay taxes.
If Republicans did fair districting in Texas they would lose their slim majority.
Put away your holy entrails. They do not predict the future.
And they can't have that. Fairness is no longer part of Republican thinking.
Every citizen gets to vote. That's how the census was counted for quite some time. The 2010 census was an anomaly.
And the conservative states are talking to each other, getting ideas from one another on how to handle this.
So, State governors are not allowed to talk to each other now? What happened to the 1st amendment?
Gerrymandering is here to stay, and Republicans will be using it to stack the deck in their favor.
I don't think you know what that word means.
'Taxation without Representation' should be part of their platform.
Citizens vote. They pay the taxes. Where is the taxation without representation?
They have become anti-American.
Inversion fallacy. That would be YOU.
